Recently a friend gave me an article to read. “Do You Want To Be Saved?” There was no name of the author. The author’s theory was, BELIEVE! I agree with him or her completely, except he or she did not go far enough.
Just what does it mean to “believe”? I will try to explain that in this booklet.
Most people believe there is a God. Most people even believe that He created the Universe. Most people believe there is a Heaven and a Hell, although they think they will never go to Hell. Most people believe there will be a Judgment one day. Most people know they sin, but keep on even though their conscience tells them it’s wrong.
Even the devils believe there is a God! James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. [KJV] . . . Will the devils believing there is a sovereign and supreme God, get them into Heaven? NO! No way!
If the conscience of a person is not persuaded by the Word of God, God considers this person ‘dead’ (spiritually). Begging never saves souls, for if it did, I would have gained many for Jesus; but it does not! No matter how my heart breaks, no matter how many tears I shed, people cannot be saved by my begging them to come to Jesus.
It is possible for someone to get away with actual murder here on Earth; but when Judgment comes, you will be held accountable for all sins you have committed. The only hope anyone can have is the precious Blood of Jesus; the Blood He shed on the cross for you, for me, for the entire world!
Christ Jesus qualifies 100% to be our Saviour, and 100% to be our Judge. The tears and Blood He so willingly shed, the tremendous grief He bore in His tender Heart, the excruciating pains He suffered out of love for mankind, makes Him the kind of Saviour and Judge I want!
Jesus today is our Advocate (1 John 2:1) in the Heavens above; He’s our Saviour sitting on the Throne of love. And one day He will be our Great and Wise Judge, sitting on the Throne of love and mercy. We will be judged fair and right in every respect! He will have authority and wisdom to judge every person who has ever lived!
As you read this, you can do one of two things: (1.) you can accept Jesus as your Saviour and send your sins ahead to judgment where they will be forgiven and disposed of while you are still on Earth. Your slate can be wiped clean, OR (2.) you can reject Jesus and stockpile your sins in the books of Heaven where each single sin will be completely judged by Christ on Judgment Day! God will not force you to choose Jesus, it all rests on you! What will you do?
Many churches today are NOT teaching the Christ of the Bible! He is love! YES! IF we obey Him, but for those who refuse to trust and obey Him, there is only looming, terrifying judgment waiting.
The Bible does NOT teach everyone will go to Heaven; in fact, it teaches just the opposite! Only a “few” will ever make it to Heaven (Mat.7:13-14). And the Bible does NOT teach that anyone gets a second chance after death! For unbelievers, after death, only judgment remains (Heb. 9:27).
How can you be saved from God’s wrath? From sin and its penalty? From the agonizing and eternal destruction of Hell? God made A Plan! One single Plan, and that is Jesus! Only Jesus! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) . . . The Father is in Heaven. IF you want to go to Heaven you must go through Jesus! There’s NO other way! See Acts 4:12. NO other person, NO other god can save you, only Jesus! John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (KJV) John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV) 1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV)
You must be spiritually “born again” into the family of God to be His child and His heir. Only Jesus has the power to do that! Only Jesus holds Heaven’s key! Without Jesus you will be cast into Hell (Rev.20:15; 21:8; John 8:28). Do you BELIEVE this??
WHAT IS SALVATION?
What is salvation?? Salvation is being rescued from the penalty of sin and from God’s horrible wrath. YES! God has two sides. Believe this! He is a loving God, without a doubt! But He is also a God of wrath. God’s wrath: (Jn.3:36; Rom.1:18; 2:5; Eph.5:6; Col.3:6; Jam.1:20; Rev.14:10,19; 15:1,7; 16:1,19; 19:15)
I cannot teach God’s love and an eternity in Heaven without teaching God’s wrath (holy anger) and the “everlasting destruction” of Hell. If I were to do this, I would be a false teacher! I must be very careful what I teach, for I will be held accountable by Almighty God! James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. [KJV] This verse terrifies me! So . . . just why do I teach God’s Word? One very good reason; that being, when I became a Christian, God gave me the ‘gift’ of teaching, and He told me to go and teach. What I fear more than this verse is refusing to obey God! That is why I teach!
When I became a child of God by belief in Christ, my life started to change. John 1:12-13
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [KJV] . . . The closer I got to Jesus, the more I changed! Some people liked the change, some people hated who I had become; including some in my family. “I liked you better before” was one comment. The devil really tried to get me to retreat.
The Bible clearly states that if we do not change from our old lifestyle to one of obedience to God and His Word, we are not His children.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [KJV] . . . We must be “born again” spiritually into God’s family, or we will never even see Heaven.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [KJV]
When I believed in Jesus, and accepted Him into my heart, He made me a new person, from the inside out! I’m not perfect, but I have changed for the better. My lifestyle changed, my friends, my heart, my thoughts . . . everything about me changed, for I truly wanted to please God and to serve Him. Before I honestly did not care about other people; their feelings, their loneliness, their sin. But Jesus made me do a complete turn-around! I see things so much differently now.
If we truly love Jesus, we will do as He tells us to do, and we will imitate His character as much as we possibly can. And LOVE tops out that list of wonderful characteristics!
Jesus gave me a new heart, a soft, tender heart that cared about others, that cared when I saw their pain, loneliness, sorrow --- and their sin. We are to imitate Jesus. When we take on His precious Name (Christian), we must live as He would live. He said we must obey His commands (Matthew 22:37-40) which boils down to one word: LOVE!
I realize that what I write sometimes offends people. It is not I that is offending them, it is the Word of God! Anyone who truly has a burden on their heart for lost souls, loves those people! Anyone who teaches or preaches the TRUTH of the Bible, truly cares about people, or they would simply do as so many today; preach what people want to hear! But, preaching what people want to hear will never get a soul to Heaven!
I love and care about people, that is WHY I write the way I do. Jesus taught on love, yes! But He also taught on the horrors of Hell because He wants no one to go there. He wants us to love and trust Him. He wants us to “Go and sin no more” (John 8:11). He does not want us to continue in our sin, refusing to believe Him when He tells us it will lead us to Hell. Jesus loves you, and so do I. Neither of us want you to spend eternity in Hell.
I must obey Jesus, that is WHY I teach as I do.
As I said, there are so many false teachers today, and they will continue to lead people’s souls to Hell. In fact, it will worsen, because that is what people want. They do NOT want to hear the Truth!
Isaiah 30:9-10 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: (KJV) . . . The people told Isaiah: Don't tell us things we do not want to hear! Tell us nice things. Tell us lies. Times have NOT changed! People today do NOT want to hear the Truth of God’s Holy Word!
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (KJV) . . . That time has come! People follow their own desires and go to a church where teachers will tell them what they are itching to hear. If you refuse to hear the Truth of God’s Word, you cannot believe it. We must believe God, or be doomed to an everlasting and agonizing Hell!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BELIEVE?
What does the dictionary say about believe? Believe = to take as true or real; to have confidence in a statement or promise of another person; to assume, expect, suppose what is said will happen; to have trust or confidence; to have faith in the person and his words. Let me give you my explanation. To BELIEVE is to have unquestioning trust and faith in God.
You may know that God’s love and grace are limitless even if you are not a ‘believer,’ BUT you may NOT know that unless you believe on the Name of Jesus, God’s Son, as your personal Saviour and Lord, you will NEVER experience God’s love or God’s grace, in the salvation of your soul.
To believe means you know you can NEVER save yourself.
To believe means that you know that salvation is through Christ alone, and only He can save you.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. [KJV]
To believe means that if you want to go to Heaven, you must go through Christ. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [KJV] . . . The Father is in Heaven.
To believe means you know Christ is Who He says He is, and will do what He said He will do.
We must believe that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), we must believe He is God. We must believe He is capable of doing everything He said He will do, and that He most certainly will do it. We must believe He has the authority (Mat.28:18; 1 Peter 3:22; Heb.1:2).
We must ‘believe’ in Christ to receive eternal salvation of our souls.
(1.) Believe that Jesus is God (Mat. 3:17; John 10:30),
(2.) Believe in His virgin birth (Isa.7:14; Mat.1:18-25),
(3.) Believe that He never sinned (Heb.4:15; 1 Pet.1:18-20; 2:22),
(4.) Believe that He died on the Cross for us, to save us from eternal death (Isa. 53:5; 1 Pet. 2:24; 3:18),
(5.) Believe that He is alive, that He was resurrected from the dead (Psalm 16:10; Luke ch. 24; Acts 26:23),
(6.) Believe that He ascended to Heaven and is now sitting at the right Hand of God, the Father Almighty, interceding for us (Luke 24:51; Acts 1:9),
(7.) Believe that the power of His precious Blood can cleanse ANYONE who accepts Him, from all their sins (1 John 1:7; Rev.1:5),
(8.) Believe that salvation (eternal life) is a “GIFT” from God simply by our faith and the grace of God, not by any works we could ever do (Eph.2:8-9; Rom.6:23),
(9.) Believe Jesus when He tells us He will personally come again (1 Thes.4:13-18), AND
(10.) Believe Him when He tells us we must obey His command to LOVE, and to tell others about Him (Mat.22:36-40, 28:18-20).
We must believe the Bible. We must believe God, for He cannot lie (Tit.1:2). We must: Believe that Jesus is the only WAY to Heaven!
DO YOU WANT TO BE SAVED?
Only once in the Bible is the question asked: “What must I do to be saved?” Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? [KJV]
In the very next verse, that question is answered! Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. [KJV]
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [KJV] . . . Unless we truly BELIEVE on (or in) Him (Jesus) and accept Him, can we ever become children of God. Some people have the false idea that all people are children of God. All people are made by God but they are NOT all children of God. 1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. [KJV] The previous verse states: 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. [KJV] Those who are TRUE children of God do NOT continue in sin, for God’s very nature is in them (His Spirit), and because God is their Father, they cannot continue to sin. They will sin, but when they do, they feel terrible! They want to make it right as soon as possible. And this is possible!
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [KJV] . . . If we try to say that we have no sin, we deceive only ourselves. We are liars! But if we confess our sins to God, He will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing. We must admit that God is right and we are wrong. We cannot live as a TRUE child of God and harbor sin within us.
Ephes. 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: [KJV] . . . We once lived just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God, but the Spirit of God is in the hearts of God’s TRUE children. Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (KJV) . . . The Bible clearly tells us that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them, are NOT God’s children!
God loves all those who believe Him and trust and accept His only begotten Son as their Saviour and Lord. His wrath rests on all those who refuse to believe Him, and reject His only Way of salvation, His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ.
Do you want to be saved? God has much to say on the subject. John 3:15-18 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [KJV] . . . Jesus tells us here that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life (in Heaven), or in other words, be saved. God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish (in Hell) but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. There is NO judgment awaiting those who trust and believe in Him. But all those who refuse to trust Him have already been judged for not believing in the only begotten Son of God. Their destiny is Hell, an everlasting (never ending) agonizing Hell. 2 Thes. 1:7-9 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; [KJV] . . . Everyone who refuses to BELIEVE God, will be punished with everlasting destruction, and forever separated from the Lord and from His glorious power. The Lord is all that is good. Unbelievers will be separated from Him and all good things forever.
Is this fair? you might ask. Yes, it is. I believe that God gives everyone the opportunity to believe Him and to accept Christ. In fact, many opportunities! Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. [KJV] . . . God does not want anyone to perish. He does NOT want to send anyone to Hell, but He will. It’s a Promise!
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [KJV] . . . The Lord is not slow to do what He has promised, as so many think. Our awesome God is extremely patient with people, because He does not want anyone to go to everlasting destruction (Hell). He wants people to turn away from their sins, and to Him. In the end, there are only two destinations: Heaven or Hell. You are on the road to one of these places right now, as you read these words.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. [KJV] . . . You must go in through the strait gate (challenging, difficult, narrow) to get to Heaven, and that Gate and that Road is Jesus. The gate to Hell is wide and the road that leads to it is very easy, BUT . . . the longer you stay on it, the harder it is to get off it. There are millions who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are “few” people who find it. This does not mean that it is difficult to become a Christian, but that there is only one way to live eternally with God and only a “few” ever that decide to walk that road. Believing in Jesus is the only way to Heaven, because He alone died for our sins and made us right before God (Rom.5:1-10). To live His way is not very popular, but it is the only true and right way in God’s eyes.
John 10:7-9 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (KJV) . . . Jesus is the ONLY Gate to God’s salvation for us. He is the ONLY Key to Heaven. He so graciously offers us access to safety and security. Jesus is our Protector. Many people resent that Jesus is the ONLY Gate, and the ONLY Way of access to God. But Jesus is God’s Son; don’t you think He is well able to give us what He has promised?
Many who hear the Gospel of Christ, do not understand it, simply because they don’t want to. But there are many Scripture verses, expounding each other, plus the Holy Spirit makes known the blessed Jesus to us. Christ is the Door, the ONLY Door! What great security and hope He holds in store for God’s children. The Lord Jesus stands between us and all our enemies. He is a Door open for passage and communication. The above verses make it plain how we must come into the fold . . . we must come in by Jesus Christ as the Door. By believing, by trusting, by faith in Him as our great Mediator between God and us. Christ takes cares of His church (God’s TRUE children). Every believer, has on their side a good Shepherd, a tremendous Shepherd! He knows His flock, and He expects every believer, to be loyal to Him, and to stay in His pasture. Believing is making a personal commitment to Jesus, and standing firm in that commitment!
A mediator is someone who intervenes between two persons (middleman) who are hostile with each other (enemies, Rom.5:9-10), trying to reconcile them.
Christ is the one and only Mediator between God and man. There is NO other person, man or woman, who can take our side before Almighty God. Only Jesus holds that unique position. 1 Tim. 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (KJV)
Hebrews 4:15-16 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (KJV) . . . Our Mediator (High Priest) completely understands all our weaknesses, because He faced all of the same temptations we do, yet He did not sin. Because of the position Jesus holds, and because He loves us so, we can come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. When we go to God in prayer, we must go in the Name of Jesus, NO other name (John 14:13; 15:16, 23). It is only then that we will receive His mercy, and find grace to help us when we need it.
One thing I must mention, unless a person is a child of God, the Father in Heaven will NOT hear their prayers no matter how desperate they are. John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. [KJV] Just who does God consider a “sinner”? I think this verse will answer that question.
John 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; (KJV) . . . The world's sin is unbelief in Christ Jesus.
To God, unbelief is a horrendous sin! It is in reality, calling God a “liar.” 1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (KJV) . . . God will NOT hear sinners, but He is always ready to hear those who worship Him and do His will, those who believe Him! For other verses on this subject, see: Deut.31:18; Psalm 49:24; Isaiah 1:15; 1 John 3:15; Isaiah 59:2).
John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. [KJV] . . . In the TRUE Lord ’s Prayer in John chapter 17; Jesus said that His prayer was not for the world (sinners, unbelievers), but for those God the Father had given to Him (those who believed and accepted Him), because they belong to God. They are His children. http://www.godcannotlie.org/john_commentary_ch17.html
Jesus makes reconciliation between God and man by His all-perfect atoning Sacrifice. When we believe on (in) Him, He takes our side before God in Heaven. Our Mediator was and is 100% divine and 100% human. He was divine in that His obedience and His sufferings might possess unlimited worth. Too, He possesses infinite wisdom and knowledge and power to command and control all things (Mat.28:18; John 5:22, 25-27). Jesus was and is 100% human, so that in His work He might represent mankind, and be capable of complete obedience to the Law of God and satisfying the claims of God’s justice (Heb.2:17-18; 4:15-16), and that in His glorified humanity, He might be the Head of a glorified Church (Rom. 8:29). This position of great responsibility involves the three duties of Prophet, Priest and King, all of which are fulfilled by Christ both in His condition of humiliation and exaltation. Each duty gives character to every mediatorial act. They are never separated when exercised in His job of Mediator.
The apostle John uses the word “Advocate” instead of Mediator. 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (KJV) . . . We have an Advocate with the Father; One who has undertaken, and is fully able, to plead on behalf of every one who applies for pardon and salvation in His Name. This “Jesus,” is the Saviour, and “Christ,” the Messiah, and the Anointed and Holy One. He alone is “the Righteous One,” for He is completely free from sin. Our Advocate perfectly obeyed the Law of God, thus fulfilling all righteousness. When we believe and accept Jesus, God gives us the righteousness of His Son (Rom.5:1-10). He declares us “not guilty” of our sin (justification), because of our belief and faith in Jesus. I believe that all people everywhere are invited to come to God through His Son.
It is only when you believe God and accept His Son . . . that Jesus then becomes a Mediator or Advocate on your behalf before Almighty God, not before.
Satan stands firm in accusing me,
Of all my sins and iniquities.
But I need not worry ‘bout my fate,
For in Heav’n, I have an Advocate!
Satan accuses with mighty roars,
But he’ll never keep me from Heav’n’s door.
My Advocate always takes my side,
I’m secure, what ever may betide!
The devil accuses constantly,
I’m weak, and full of iniquity.
But my Advocate by me does stand,
An ultimate blessing, O’ so grand!
Satan’s accusations never quit,
But the Blood of Jesus does acquit.
My Advocate the Father will hear,
With Him on my side, I’ve nought to fear!
Tho’ Satan accuses, I have won,
The Father findeth no wrong I’ve done!
My wondrous Advocate stands up for me,
Frees me from sins and iniquity.
Tho’ my disquieted foe accuses,
God won’t hear him; He simply refuses!
Satan names all my sins, one by one,
Christ’s Blood paid for them all; I have won!

(Rev.12:10; Job 1:9-11; 2:7; Zec.3:1; Mt.4:1-11; 13:19,38,39;
Jn.8:44; 13:2; 17:11; 1 P.1:5; 5:7-8; 1 Jn.2:1; 2 Tim.1:12;
Jude 24; Heb.2:17; 4:14-15; 5:5; 7:25-27; 8:1; 10:19-23)
When a person sincerely believes God and accepts Jesus as their Saviour and Lord, a personal relationship begins. A commitment is made to Jesus. He is to be first in all things. Nothing or no one can ever come between Jesus and you. He must be number One in your life.
Matthew 10:37-38 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. (KJV) . . . Jesus was not encouraging disobedience to parents or conflict at home. Instead, He was showing that His Presence in our lives demands a decision from us. Some people will follow Jesus, some will not! So conflict will eventually arise. As we take up our cross and follow Him, our values, morals, goals and purposes will change and set us apart from others. We should not neglect our family, but we must remember that our commitment to Jesus is even more important than they are. Jesus should be our first priority.
Loving our family is something we should do, but we must not let this love become self-serving and use it as an excuse not to serve God or do His work. Sincere commitment to Jesus may separate friends and loved ones from you. I can verify this. My family will not accept my commitment to my Lord Jesus. Will I back away from Jesus? NO! I made my decision and I am content with it. I feel sorry for them and other unbelievers because they cannot have the contentment that I have. Only Jesus can give this peaceful and joyous feeling deep within.
Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. (KJV)
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (KJV) . . . To “take up his cross” means to deny oneself; to say “no” to your worldly desires and ambitions for the sake of Jesus. We must sit down and count the cost; we must consider it will cost the mortifying (killing) of sin, even our most loved lusts. The most proud and daring sinner cannot stand against God, for we have no idea just how furious God can get with sin. We must seek peace with Him by forsaking our sin and turning to Jesus to save us from God’s holy wrath. In some ways a disciple of Christ is put to the trial. May we seek to be disciples (willing followers), being careful to stand up for Jesus, not being afraid of our cross. We must be the salt of the Earth, to season those around us with the taste of Christ, and we must not hide our light under a bushel but let it shine out to lost souls everywhere.
To take our cross and follow Jesus means we are willing to publicly identify with Him, to experience almost certain opposition, and to be committed to face even suffering and death for His sake IF it were to come to that. Following Jesus, means a true commitment, the risk of death, and NO turning back. It means to deny oneself. It means to say “NO” to your desires, hopes, dreams, plans and ambitions if need be, for Christ’s sake. Jesus must be first in your life or you are not worthy of Him. See: 2 Cor. 4:10-11; Phil. 3:8-10; Mark 10:29-30.
NO TURNING BACK
When I turned to Christ that fateful day,
I made Him a promise, I would stay.
Many times I feel helpless, and lose track,
But I’ll stand firm; there’s no turning back.
I made a commitment, totally,
To my loving Saviour, who died for me.
Tho’ I may stumble, He takes my hand,
There’s no turning back, by Him I’ll stand.
There’s no turning back; I have no fear,
For my awesome Friend, is always near.
No matter what trouble comes my way,
I’ll stand by His side; both night and day.
I won’t turn back, for earthly pleasures,
For I look forward to heav’nly treasures.
There’s no turning back; Christ holds the key,
To life in Heav’n with Him, eternally.
No turning back; what e’er comes my way,
For I am headed, for a better day.
There’s no turning back; my mansion awaits,
I’m passing thru’, headed for Heav’n’s gate.

A disciple is a follower of Christ. A disciple of Christ is one who (1.) believes His doctrine, (2.) rests on His sacrifice, (3.) absorbs His spirit, and (4.) imitates His example. We believe and are sure that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (John 6:69). We learn, follow, and live by the teachings of Jesus Christ; we imitate Jesus in all we do. We are NOT perfect. Only Jesus is perfect. But we are changed from the vile sinner we once were, into a new creation.
2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) . . . To be “in Christ” is to be a child of God, a “born again” Christian. We have repented of our old life without Christ (Eph.2:1-2), and turned to Him by believing what God so clearly states about Him. We do this willingly because we love Him.
John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (KJV)
1. A disciple takes up his or her cross and follows Jesus, no matter what. Being a disciple takes love, work and commitment (Luke 9:23-25).
2. A disciple counts the cost. Jesus’ disciples are willing to give up everything to follow Him, if need be (Luke 14:25-33).
3. A disciple abides in Christ. The disciple’s strength comes from how close they are to Christ (John 15:1-17).
4. A disciple walks as Jesus walked. Disciples pattern their lives after Jesus. He is the ultimate example of how we should live (1 John 2:3-6).
A TRUE disciple trusts and obeys Jesus. There are NO closet Christians. Many people have the false idea that once they believe and accept Christ, they can just sit back and wait for Heaven to come their way. That is NOT obedience to Christ.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. [KJV] . . . GO ye therefore! Tell others about Jesus. That is obedience. Don’t just sit there!
1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. [KJV] . . . God is very clear on this! First we should BELIEVE on Jesus, then love one another. A COMMAND from God! We cannot love people if we are not concerned about their souls. A certain person may be waiting for someone (you) to tell them that Jesus loves them and only He can get them to Heaven. Their spiritual health is much more important than their physical health! It’s a matter of eternal Heavenly bliss or eternal agonizing Hell. “Go ye therefore!”
You know people that I don’t know. You are responsible to tell them about the Gospel of Jesus. You will be held accountable if you don’t. You are not a true disciple if you don’t tell them. You are not a true child of God if you don’t tell them about Jesus.
You are not responsible for the person making a decision. You are responsible only for telling them about Jesus. No one can save anyone. Only God can save a person’s soul. But we are responsible to tell, to witness. A person must hear the Word before they can be saved, before they can believe (Rom.10:14-16).
Many will not welcome your message. Some may not listen to you. Don’t assume someone doesn’t want to know Jesus. Don’t get so preoccupied with your faith that you don’t share it. You will face rejection, but as I said, it is our responsibility to tell others about Jesus. Don’t blame yourself if your efforts are rejected. You are not alone. Many will try to change the subject. Don’t let fear keep you from it. Disciple’s efforts are aided by the Holy Spirit. God is glorified through your efforts.
A BELIEVER’S WALK
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV) . . . No one can please God without faith. Whoever comes to God must believe that the eternal Almighty God exists and rewards those who seek Him. Believing God is faith. Faith is extremely important to God. You cannot live a life without faith and expect to please God. It’s impossible!
Walking with God means living your life as if He is walking right beside you, and doing all you can to please Him every step of the way. Are you living with God beside you all the time?
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [KJV] Baptism by immersion teaches the necessity of dying to sin. When we are placed under the water, it represents all our ungodly and unholy pursuits being buried. When we come up out of the water, we rise to walk with God in newness of life.
There are many who are baptized who are false professors. They may show the outward sign of a death unto sin, and a new birth unto righteousness, but they never passed from the family of Satan to the family of God.
Our corrupt nature, is called the “old man” (Rom.6:6; Eph. 4:22; Col.3:9), because of our first father Adam’s sin. It is crucified with Christ in every true believer, by the grace which comes from the cross, when we believe. The believer is no more the slave of sin, but live to God, and they find much happiness in serving Him.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (KJV) . . . When we believe, God says: “Not guilty; let him go free.” Let me say here that Jesus knows IF we truly believe and accept Him! We cannot fool Jesus. NO way! We might fool those around us, and we may even try to fool ourselves, but we will NEVER fool Jesus!
The fact is that the whole human race is guilty before God, justly condemned for repeatedly breaking God’s holy law. Without Jesus we would have no hope at all. But thank God! He has declared us not guilty and has offered us freedom from sin and power to do His will.
2 Cor. 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) (KJV) . . . Faith is for this world, and sight is for the other world. It is our duty to walk by faith, trusting Jesus completely, until we live by sight in Heaven. Our life is controlled by faith in our undying hope; not by the outward false appearance of present things.
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (KJV) . . . Being led by the Holy Spirit includes the desire to hear, the readiness to obey God’s Word, and being able to tell the difference between your feelings and His promptings. An unbeliever cannot have the Spirit of God. A person must believe God and accept Jesus. Only then will the Holy Spirit abide within them.
We must live each day controlled and guided by the Holy Spirit. Only then will the words of Christ be in your mind, the love of Christ be behind your actions, and the power of Christ help you control your selfish desires.
Ephes. 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, (KJV) . . . ALL believers must represent Christ on Earth, or they are not God’s children, not Christians. We must live lives worthy of the calling we have received . . . the awesome privilege of being called Christ’s very own. We must be loving, humble, gentle, patient, understanding and peaceful. People are watching you. Can they see Christ in you? How well are you doing as His representative?
Often differences among people can lead to division. Instead of concentrating on what divides us, we should concentrate on what unites us: one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God! Do you love and appreciate people who are different from you?
Ephes. 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (KJV) . . . Your life must be controlled by love, just as Christ loved us and gave His life for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice that pleases God. We should imitate Christ. His great love for us led Him to die for us that we might live. Our love for others should be a love that goes far beyond affection and words to self-sacrificing service.
Ephes. 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, (KJV) . . . Be careful how you live. We must not live as evil, sinful people, we must live like wise, cautious people.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (KJV) . . . How does Jesus’ Blood purify us from every sin? In Old Testament times, believers symbolically transferred their sins to an animal, which they then sacrificed to God (Leviticus 4). The animal died in their place to pay for their sin and to allow them to continue living in God’s favor. God graciously forgave them because of their FAITH in Him, and because they OBEYED His commandments concerning the sacrifice. Those sacrifices looked forward to the day when Christ would completely remove sin. Real cleansing from sin came with Jesus, the “Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Sin, by its nature, brings death . . . this is a fact, just as is the law of gravity. Jesus did NOT die for His own sins. He had none. Instead, by a transaction that we may never fully understand, He died for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). When we believe God (1 John 5:10-12) and commit our lives to Christ, we identify ourselves with Him, and His death becomes ours. He has paid the penalty for OUR sins, and His Blood has purified us. We must believe this even if we do not completely understand it. Just as Christ rose from the grave, we rise to a new life of fellowship with Him (Rom.6:4).
Col. 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: (KJV) . . . Believing and receiving Christ as Lord of your life is just the beginning of life with Jesus. But, you do not stop there! You must continue to follow His leadership by being rooted, built up, and strengthened in the faith. He wants to guide you and help you with all your daily problems. You can live for Christ by (1.) completely committing your life and submitting your will to Him (Rom.12:1-2); (2.) desiring to learn from Him, His life, and His teachings (Col. 3:16); and (3.) never quenching the Holy Spirit that is within you.
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (KJV) . . . To “walk as Jesus did” or living as Christ did does not mean choosing 12 disciples, performing great miracles, and being crucified. We cannot merely copy Christ’s life . . . much of what Jesus did had to do with His identity as God’s Son, the fulfillment of His special role in dying for sin. To walk today as Christ did means we must obey His teachings and follow His example of complete obedience to God and loving service to people. If a believer says that they are in union with God, they must live just as the Man Jesus did.
2 John 1:4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. (KJV) . . . The apostle John was very happy that he found some of the “elect lady’s” (verse 1) children living in the truth, just as the Father had commanded. It is not known if these were her physical children or members of the church, or both. But they were living right, “walking in truth.”
BELIEVERS are KEPT by the Divine Keeper.
The following is from our Lord’s Prayer.
Kept in the Father’s Name, John 17:11.
Kept in safety, John 17:12.
Kept in joyfulness, John 17:13.
Kept in purity, John 17:15.
Kept separated from the world, John 17:16.
Kept in process of sanctification, John 17:17.
Kept in active service, John 17:18.
Kept in perfect unity, John 17:20–21.
Kept for the coming glory, John 17:22–24.
Lord, just let me walk, close by Thy side,
I want only, with You to abide.
Let me feel Your hand when I do slip,
I may get weary, and tire, on my trip.
Lord, just let me walk, closer each day,,
Help me always, to trust and obey.
A closer walk, is what I do ask,
And strength and wisdom, for ev’ry task.
Lord, I know, many times I displease,
I ask for grace, that I might appease.
You are so pure, so just, and so true,
I’ll fall short, no matter what I do,
I must trust and obey, the best I can,
But it’s hard to do for sinful man.
Without my Jesus, I’d go to Hell,
But thanks be to Him, in Heav’n I’ll dwell.
You have justified me, by my faith,
Praise be to You, I’ll never see death!
I will be grateful to You forever,
Nothing from me, Your love can sever.
Lord, let me walk, close by Thy side,
Let Your Holy Spirit, instruct and guide.
I know I’ll stumble, oft’ ev’ry day,
Please forgive me, and help me obey.

THE POWER OF JESUS
Jesus, as the Son of God, is the power of God. John 5:17-19 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. (KJV) . . . The Man, Jesus was identifying Himself with God, His Father. Jesus was and is 100% God and 100% Man. But, while He was on Earth, He gave up His power as God. He was limited, like all humans. He could however do great miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead. http://www.hisservants.org/books_our_awesome_triune_god.html
There is no doubt here as to Jesus’ claim to be God. Jesus does not give us the option to believe in God the Father, while ignoring God’s Son.
John 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. (KJV) . . . We must honor Jesus the Son in the same way as we honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. Jesus makes it quite plain in this verse, that we must honor Him just as we honor the Father. Many people, many cults refuse to do this. They agree that Jesus was a great teacher, but that’s as far as they go. Some even say that Jesus is the brother of Satan, which is utterly ridiculous, for that would make Jesus, the Son, a created being, which He was not! For Jesus was the CREATOR, not a created being! John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (KJV)
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (KJV) Col. 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: (KJV) Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [KJV] . . . Jesus is the powerful Creator of this Universe! He is NOT a created being, He is NOT a brother of the devil!
Do you see just who is supposed to honor Jesus? ALL men! That includes ALL races, ALL nations, ALL people everywhere! “Men” here is a generic term, meaning all mankind; men, women and children. Is that happening today? NO! Absolutely NOT! It surely is not. There are so many false ‘religions’ in the world. So many false gods. Millions are honoring and worshipping every god except the Almighty Creator God of the Bible.
The Pharisees also called God their Father, as do millions of people worldwide today. People today have the same choices that the Pharisees had: to believe Jesus, or to accuse Him of blasphemy. The Pharisees chose to reject Him, just as many people do today. Unless you believe God and accept Jesus His Son, you are doomed an eternal Hell. Once you believe, Jesus has the power to make you God’s child (John 1:12-13).
John 10:28-30 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. (KJV) . . . Only Jesus gives us eternal life. Our soul shall live forever in Heaven once we truly believe. No one, not even the devil, can snatch us away from Him! The Father gave us to Jesus, and He is greater than anyone. NO ONE can snatch us away from the Father’s care. And again, Jesus claims He is God! He said: “The Father and I are one.” Jesus has exactly the same power as God the Father. Tremendous power!
Just as a shepherd protects his sheep, Jesus protects His people from eternal, spiritual harm. Believers will suffer here on Earth, but Satan can never harm our souls or take away our eternal life with God. If you choose to believe and follow Jesus, He will give you everlasting safety. It’s a Promise! He can’t lie!
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (KJV) . . . God poured out on His Son the Holy Spirit and great power. Jesus went, doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, for God was with Him.
Jesus’ power is supreme. Ephes. 1:20-21 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (KJV) . . . When Jesus was raised from the dead, He became the Head of the church, and the ultimate authority over the all the world. Jesus is the Messiah, God’s Anointed One, the One Israel looked and longed for, the only One who can set this broken world right. Believers can be confident that God will win the final victory and is in control of everything. We don’t need to fear any dictator or nation, or Satan or even death. Nothing can separate us from God and His love (Rom. 8:37-39). Believe this!
1 Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. (KJV) Jesus is alive! He has gone to Heaven and is at the right side of God. He rules over all angels and heavenly authorities and powers.
Jesus’ power is unlimited. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (KJV) God gave Jesus authority over Heaven and Earth. On the basis of that authority, Jesus told His disciples to make more disciples as they preached, baptized, and taught. Jesus still commands us to tell others the Good News and make them disciples for the Kingdom.
Jesus is Lord of the Earth. He died for the sins of people from all nations. We are to go . . . whether it is next door or to another country . . . and make disciples. This is not an option. It is a command to all who call Jesus “Lord.” Unless we obey Jesus, we are not TRUE believers!
Jesus’ power is over all flesh. John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. (KJV) . . . God the Father gave His Son Jesus authority over ALL people, so that He might give eternal life to all those who would believe and accept Him. There are NOT many gods in this world. There is only one TRUE God, and that is the God of the Bible.
Jesus’ power is over all things. John 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. (KJV) . . . “Who is Jesus Christ?” If you accept Jesus only as a prophet or teacher, you reject His teaching; for He claimed to be God’s Son and God Himself. The Truth is, that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, the Messiah, the Saviour. He is eternal, He was from the beginning and will continue to live forever. This same Jesus has invited us to accept Him and live with Him eternally. Do you believe Jesus has this power? The power of God? When we truly understand who Jesus is, we have no problem believing what He said.
Ephes. 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, (KJV) . . . “Head” implies not only Jesus’ dominion and power, but our union with Him, therefore, while we know and believe that He is at the right hand of God, we see ourselves in Heaven (Rev. 3:21). For the Head and body cannot be severed (divided) by anything, or else the body would stop being the body, and the Head would stop being the Head.
Jesus’ power is glorious. 2 Thes. 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (KJV) . . . ALL unbelievers, no matter what race or country, will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction. They all will be separated from the Presence of the Lord and from His glorious power. Only by believing God and accepting His Son Jesus can keep a soul from Hell.
Jesus’ power is everlasting. 1 Tim. 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. (KJV) . . . God alone is immortal and eternal; He lives in such a glorious light that no one can approach. No one has ever seen God the Father; no one can ever see Him. But we can know Him by His Son Jesus. John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. [KJV] To God, (the Father and the Son) be honor and eternal power! Amen.
Jesus’ power can save us. Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (KJV) . . . No one can add to what Jesus did to save us. ALL our sins are forgiven when we believe on His Holy Name. Our past, present, and future sins are all forgiven! (1 Jn.3:8). And Jesus is with the Father as a sign that our sins are forgiven. If you are a believer, remember that Christ has paid the price for your sins once and for all. You nor anyone else can do any more. Jesus paid it all!
Jesus’ power gives us spiritual life. John 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. (KJV) . . . Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, in the same way the Son gives life to those He wants to, to those who believe on His Name. .
Jesus’ power will raise us from the dead. John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. (KJV) . . . One day the dead will hear His voice and come out of their graves. Those who have believed will rise and live in Heaven, and those who refuse to believe will rise and be condemned to Hell (Dan.12:2).
Jesus power raised Himself from the dead. John 2:19-21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. (KJV) . . . Jesus foretells His death. He is telling the Jews: “I will allow you to destroy it” (to take my life). He then foretells His resurrection by His own power: “In three days I will raise it up” and He did! When Jesus was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered what He had said. Only God has this kind of power!
John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. (KJV) . . . Jesus’ death and resurrection, as part of God’s plan for the salvation of the world, were under God’s complete control. No one could kill Jesus without His consent. He could have stopped the process at any time.
Jesus’ power overcame Satan. Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; (KJV) . . . Since God is eternal and cannot die, Jesus had to become human (“flesh and blood”) so that He could die and rise again, in order to destroy the devil’s power over death (Rom.6:5-11). When we belong to God by belief in Jesus, we need not fear death, because we know that death is only the doorway into eternal life (1 Cor. 15). Only by dying could Jesus break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
Jesus’ power can destroy the power of Satan. 1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (KJV) . . . Anyone who continues in sin belongs to the devil, because the devil has sinned from the very beginning. The Son of God came for this very reason, to destroy the power of the devil.
No one who is born of God will continue to sin. This means that TRUE believers do not make a practice of sinning, and they are not indifferent to God’s moral law. ALL believers will still sin, but they are working to gain victory over sin. TRUE believers do NOT make a practice of sinning because God’s new life has been born into them.
Jesus’ power can help us. Philip. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV) . . . Jesus’ power gives believers strength!
Jesus’ power will one day change us. Philip. 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (KJV) . . . Our bodies must be changed so that we can enter Heaven. We will be given a body like Jesus’ sinless body. Praise God!
Jesus power will be shown at the Rapture, and at His Second Coming. Mark 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. (KJV)
Jesus power shall subdue all powers one day. 1 Cor. 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. (KJV) . . . One day soon, the end will come. Christ will overcome all physical and spiritual rulers, authorities, and powers, and will hand over the Kingdom to God the Father.
Jesus’ power shall destroy all unbelievers. Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. (KJV) . . . Jesus was as a Lamb when He was on Earth the first time. He will be as a Lion at His Second Coming. He will shatter unbelievers like a clay pot.
Rev. 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. [KJV] . . . The armies of the Antichrist (all who are against God) were killed by the sword that comes out of the mouth of Christ and birds ate their flesh. Jesus will have the final victory!
I hope I have impressed upon you the vast power of Jesus (God). I hope you can believe He is indeed God and unless you believe on Him, Hell will be your final and eternal destination. His power can be for you, or against you. I pray you believe this.
AMAZING BUT TRUE
‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
Our Creator God, loves me and you!
He sent His Son to die for our sins,
When we believe, eternal life begins!
‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
When we believe, God forgives me and you!
God will condemn those who won’t believe,
Rejection of Christ, means Hell you receive.
‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
We’ll be accountable, me and you!
A dreadful sin to God, is unbelief,
Rejection of Christ gives eternal grief.
‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
Belief makes us God’s friends, me and you.
He will make us His child, and His heir,
And the joy of Heav’n, we’ll all share.
‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
Reserv’d mansions await me and you!
When to Christ, we open our heart’s door,
Abundant blessings from Him will pour!
‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
God truly does love both me and you!
Everlasting glory waits above,
When we accept God’s amazing love!

ALL FOR THE LIKES OF ME
You left Heaven’s most splendid glory,
And came to Earth, for the likes of me.
You gave up comfort, for grief and pain,
That sinful me, might have eternal gain.
You left the beauty of Heaven above,
And came to man’s evil, all in love.
Tremendous sorrow and agony,
You did go thru’, for the likes of me.
You left Heaven, as great God and King,
And came to Earth, with simply nothing.
You became a humble Servant here,
For the likes of me, that I might not fear.
You left all of the Heavenly hosts,
Came to the sin, of the earthly coasts.
You left the praise and glory above,
And came down to the likes of me, in love.
You left it all; and here had no home,
Left riches; and in poverty, did roam.
Was not accepted, or recognized,
For the likes of me; ‘tis hard to surmise.
Wonderful Jesus, Saviour and Lord,
Died on the Cross, as told in your Word.
All done in great love, given so free,
To take sin away, from the likes of me.

BELIEF IS A MIRACLE
Belief can be a miracle, true,
A miracle, that can happen to you.
It can change your life spectacularly,
Belief gives you life, eternally!
Believing God can erase all sins,
A miracle; that with faith, begins!
We are justified, by Christ’s precious Blood,
‘Not Guilty’ in Heav’n, by this wondrous Flood!
Belief; a miracle, that sanctifies,
By trusting His Word, that never lies!
Set apart to serve our awesome Lord,
Spreading the Gospel set forth in His Word!
Belief; a miracle, that gives a new heart,
A ‘new’ creature, with a brand new start.
Children of God, and with Christ joint heirs,
One day the bliss of Heav’n with God we’ll share.
Believing is a miracle; true,
This miracle can happen to you!
Receiving Jesus makes you God’s child,
From Hell, you will always be exiled!
Salvation is a ‘Gift’ God gives to you,
A miracle; reserved for a ‘few’.
But most, by unbelief walk away,
From the greatest miracle to come our way!
