March 2009 Monthly Message
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (KJV)
Mark 12:30-31 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. [31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (KJV)
Love
If we love the Lord, with all our heart,
We’ll not e’er, from His goodness depart.
If we love the Lord, with all our soul,
We’ll give to Him daily, full control.
If we love the Lord, with all our mind,
Eternal life in Heav’n, we shall find.
If with all our strength, we love the Lord,
We’ll be empow’red daily, by His Word.
Loving neighbor as self, we must do,
Or our love to the Lord, is not true.
The Golden Rule, we should always follow,
Love in our heart, keeps away sorrow.
Jesus gives to us, just two commands,
Love God, love others; this He demands.
All this boils down, to one four letter word,
LOVE - - - is our command, from our Lord.

“Golden Rule”
Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (KJV)
We are to love the Lord - - - the TRUE God - - - with our all!
We should NEVER bow to any of the world’s “gods.”
Deut. 6:5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. (KJV) Monotheism is the belief in only one God. It was a unique feature of Hebrew religion. Many ancient religions believed in many gods. But the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the God of the whole Earth, and He is the only true God. Both then and today, the world is filled with people who believe in many gods. Both then and today, there are people who prefer to place their trust in many different “gods.” But the Day is coming when God will finally be recognized as the only God. He will be the King over the whole Earth (Zech. 14:9). No more blasphemy, no more idolatry!
Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. (KJV)
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. (KJV) One day - - - at the Name of Jesus, EVERY knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. (Phil.2:10) NO more false gods! A Promise! A fact!
We are to love our neighbor as ourselves . . .
meaning that we will NEVER do harm to anyone.
Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (KJV) What is self-love? No adultery, no murder - - - which includes hatred (1 John 3:15), no lies, no gossip, no slander, etc., no wanting what someone else has. Do no harm to anyone because you don’t want any harm to come to you.
Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (KJV) When you are not motivated by love, you become critical of others. You cannot see any good in them for all you see is their faults. You should instead, in love, focus on others’ good points and strengths instead of their shortcomings.
1 Thes. 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. (KJV) Do not pay back evil for evil; always try to do good to everyone.
Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. (KJV) Do not try to “get even” with someone when they do you wrong. Malice is a sin. When someone does something hateful to you, do something nice for them. It will ‘blow their mind.’ Do to them what you would want them to do to you.
1 Peter 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. (KJV) Don't retaliate when people say or do unkind things to you. Pay them back with a blessing. That is what God wants you to do, and he will bless you for it.
Words of Wisdom
The birthmarks of God’s children are love, obedience, and truth.
In a heart full of love, there’s no room for hate or envy.
If we do not hate evil, we cannot love God.
