Walking With Jesus

CLOSE TO ME

I can hear Him say: "Walk close to Me,
For to life’s problems, I hold the key.
I can help you, your burdens to bear,
I love you dearly, and I do care."

When life’s paths, get foreboding and dark,
Walk in My light, and to Me do hark.
"Walk close to Me", I can hear Him say,
"For I can make it, a brighter day."

"Walk close to Me", Jesus gently states,
Life’s snarls, I can help eliminate.
Chaos that baffles you, I’ll help clear,
My child, I’ll assist, I’m always near.

"Walk close to Me", my Master declares,
For no one else, with Me can compare.
I’ll give you wisdom, I’ll give you pow’r,
For I’m with you always, ev’ry hour.

"Walk close to Me", my Friend speaks low,
For I will guide you, where e’er you go.
I’ll be with you, ev’ry step of the way,
Loving and caring for you, each day.

"Walk close to Me", ‘tis my Shepherd’s voice,
And each time I hear, I simply rejoice.
When I stray, He brings me back to the fold,
His rebuke to me, is worth more than gold.

"Walk close to Me", my Saviour does say,
As I get closer to Heav’n each day.
Only Christ Jesus holds Heav’n’s one key,
And just He can give, life eternally.

HIS PRESENCE

This earthly life will always be bright,
When our hearts, by Jesus, are made right.
If we walk where He guides us, each day,
Burdens will be lifted, along the way.

If we were to walk, on a city street,
That’s O so busy, with so many feet,
He’s there, no matter how huge the crowd,
And His Voice is soft, tho’ theirs is loud.

If you walk on a lone mountain path,
Out away from man’s, unholy wrath.
All you hear is a bird’s cheery song,
His Presence is there, as you stroll along.

No matter where you go, or what you do,
His Presence will always be with you.
An awesome feeling, to know He’s there,
His amazing grace, shows He does care.

His Presence, so much peace provides,
For we know He’ll always lead and guide.
His Presence, is from God, a blessing true,
A great privilege we have, me and you.

If you don’t know Jesus, you miss so much,
You’ll never know His love, or tender touch.
The bliss of Heaven, you will never see,
For Christ Jesus, holds Heaven’s only key.

Do you want His Presence, e’er so near?
Do you want Him, to comfort and cheer?
Open the door, to your heart today,
And Jesus will help you with each new day.

He’s Always There For You

Have you reached out your hand to Him for aid?
Have you turned to Him, when you were afraid?
Have you, your worries, taken to Him?
Have you trusted Him, in shadows dim?

In your confusion, did you ask Him to guide?
Did you ask that your daily needs, He provide?
Did you ask that your doubts He remove?
Did you ask that you live a life, that He approves?

Have you thanked Him for removing your fear?
Have you thanked Him for His Presence, near?
Have you thanked Him for His guiding light?
Have you thanked Him for making darkness bright?

Have you thanked Him for taking pain away?
Have you thanked Him for every new day?
Have you thanked Him for your mansion above?
And have you thanked Him for His awesome love?

Christ Will Be There

Christ will be there, in your time of need,
Answer to your pray’r, He’ll send with speed.
He’ll give comfort, in your time of pain,
His loving Presence, is such great gain.

Christ will be there, any time you call,
His outstretched Hand, is there if you fall.
He gives such great peace, deep down inside,
For His Holy Spirit, does abide.

Christ will be there, when you need His pow’r,
He can give great strength, at any hour.
He nourishes us, for He is the Vine,
What joy it gives me, to know He’s mine!

Christ will be there, any time, any where,
When we go to Him, in earnest pray’r.
Faithfulness like His, is very rare,
O how He loves us, and truly cares.

When troubles come, He’s always close by,
With awesome comfort, He’ll not deny.
His Presence is with us, ev’ry hour,
Granting us always, love, wisdom and pow’r.

JESUS’ LIGHT

Jesus’ Light so brightly lights your path,
Walking with Him, you avoid God’s wrath.
He leads only in roads that are right,
Trusting in Jesus, makes all things right.

Jesus’ Light is there for all to see,
As He leads to life eternally.
Ev’ryone is welcome to follow Him,
On the path of Light, that ne’er grows dim.

Following closely, in Jesus’ Light,
We must always, keep Jesus in sight.
Keep so close, that nothing comes between,
Keep your eyes on Christ, and on Him lean.

The old devil tries hard, to deceive,
Stay close to Jesus, don’t you e’er leave.
Satan wants you to come back to his side,
But all who are wise, will with Christ reside.

Two roads lie ahead; Satan’s dark one,
And the one brightly lit, with God’s Son.
The dark road leads to Hell’s agony,
The bright road leads to bliss, eternally.

I MUST

On the strait and narrow path, I must stay,
And my precious Lord, I must obey.
I must have close fellowship with Him,
Or my chance of Heav’n, is very dim.

I must consider, how others feel,
I must serve Jesus, with love and zeal.
Faith in my Saviour, must persevere,
If I am to feel, His Presence near.

I’ll stray from the narrow path, I know,
But with wisdom from Christ, back I’ll go!
Satan will tempt me, day after day,
I must trust Christ Jesus, all the way.

I must stay on that strait, narrow path,
If I am to avoid, the Father’s wrath.
I must stay away, from the broad road,
That leads to Satan’s fiery abode.

Most of the world, to the broad road flock,
But to them, the gates of Heav’n are lock’d.
The lone gate of Hell, will let them in,
For the God of wrath, condemns their sin.

Unbelief is a terrible thing,
Satan blinds the eyes, to God’s blessings.
Making folks think, the broad road is right,
Blindness keeps them off, the path of light.

Help me Lord, to stay on the narrow road,
That leads me to my eternal Home.
I must stay close to You, I must obey
I know dear Jesus, there’s no other way.

I Could Run

I could run, but I can ne’er hide from You,
You see where I am, and know what I do.
You know the thoughts of my mind, ev’ry one,
You know the end of things, ‘fore they’ve begun.

How could I hide anything from Thy sight?
With You the darkest night, is brilliant light.
When I try to hide, myself I deceive,
Your stern correction, is what I’ll receive.

Running from You O Lord, is foolishness,
When this fool runs from You, You will not bless.
What makes me think that I can outsmart You?
My actions are ne’er, hidden from Your view.

Why can’t I learn that I can’t run and hide?
But instead let You always, be my Guide.
Life wouldn’t be as hard, if I’d obey,
Change me from a fool to a wise man this day.

Continued wrong decisions, and wrong roads,
Will ne’er lead me to Heav’n’s blissful abode.
‘Twill simply bring down, God’s vengeful wrath,
As I try to hide, on that big, broad path.

Running from God, is of no use at all,
In the end, we’ll all hear, His judgment call.
God is so good, WHY do we run away?
When all He wants is to bless us each day.

AS I JOURNEY

As I journey, thru’ this world of sin,
Jesus gives me vict’ry, I know I’ll win.
He paid the price, He redeemed my soul,
But of my life, I must give Him control.

As I journey, I see such wickedness,
There’s so much evil, and so much stress.
Ev’n those who say “Christ is my Lord,”
Turn day by day, farther from His Word.

As I journey, I see apostasy
As we speed onward, to eternity.
They rebel against God, they transgress,
Then from God, they expect blessedness.

As I journey onward, day by day,
I get closer, to my Home far away.
I feel in my heart, sadness so great,
For O so many, the Lord Jesus do hate.

As I journey, I know Earth’s not my home,
I know one day, I’ll no longer roam.
I’m headed for that City so high,
And then for e’er, my Lord I’ll glorify.

As I journey, close to Christ I walk,
And I have peace, when He and I talk.
He’s guiding me, to my mansion above,
Where for e’er I’ll know, His amazing love.

AM I WORTHY??

Am I not as good, as the one next to me?
Am I not worthy, of life eternally?
Does not the good, far outweigh the bad I do?
Would God send me to Hell? could this be true?

People have many questions, of ev’ry kind,
Questions that provoke, the thoughts of their mind.
God is love they say, He’s not a God of wrath,
So they keep right on, that big, broad, worldly path.

Most folks don’t consider, what God has to say,
They think they know best, as they hurry on their way.
By grace are ye saved thru’ faith, ‘tis a gift of God,
Not by works we do, for that would make us proud.

We must ne’er judge ourselves, with another,
For God alone judges us, with Christ our Brother!
There is NO salvation, in any other name,
Without belief in Christ, your sin is dreadful shame.

The wages of our sin, is eternal Hell,
Without Christ, that horrid place, is where you shall dwell.
Just belief in Christ, gives eternal life in Heav’n,
The Gift of eternal life, just by God is giv’n.

NO one is worthy, of God’s eternal Home,
We must follow Christ, as in this life we roam.
Righteousness we have, comes for Christ, Him alone,
His Sacrifice on the cross, did atone.

ONLY ONE ROAD TO GOD!

In this life, there is only one road,
A narrow one, leading to God’s abode.
All other roads lead to that broad highway,
Traveling them, you are Satan’s prey.

All sin, and come short of God’s glory,
Wages of that sin is death, not victory.
God can’t look on sin of any kind,
We must turn to Him, leave sin behind!

All who sin, deserve its penalty,
The fires of hell, with no serenity.
But, --- God gives a “Gift” to me and you,
Eternal life thru’ Christ who did rescue.

God showed great love, sending His Son to die,
Christ loved us so, He was crucified.
He paid our sin debt we could not pay,
By His Sacrifice He did portray.

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us,
By shedding His Blood, so very precious.
Silver and gold our salvation can’t buy,
Heav’n can’t be ours, if Christ’s work we deny.

Heav’n can be ours, if we walk the right road,
Hand in hand with Christ, He’ll help bear our load.
His great light will shine, making things bright,
All darkness will flee, for He is the Light!

Jesus is the Truth, the Life and the Way,
And the only Road that leads to Heav’n’s array.
Christ is the narrow Road millions reject,
But just He alone, your soul can protect.

The Path of Light

On the path of light, with You I’ll walk,
So You can assist, when Satan stalks.
I’ve not a chance, against Satan’s darts,
If You and I Lord, are far apart.

On the path of light, with You I’ll stay,
For I need Your Presence, ev’ry day.
Without You Lord, I would surely fall,
But with You Lord, I can do it all.

I’ll stay with You, on that lighted path,
‘Tis how I avoid, the Father’s wrath.
Darkness and evil, from me will flee,
For You dear Jesus, take care of me.

Staying with You, on the path of light,
Removes my worries, doubts and my fright.
Such a comfort, to have You so near,
Your perfect love, casts out all my fear.

On the path with You, lighted so well,
Eliminates all terror of Hell.
I will with Your help, on that path walk,
And fellowship with You, as we talk.

Keep me please, Lord, on that narrow path,
For I want none of, the Father’s wrath.
In Heaven with You, I want to dwell,
And just You Lord, the Father’s wrath can quell.

RESTING PLACE

Do we like John, have a deep love confessed?
Do we lay our head, on the Master’s Breast?
When we’re weary, where is our resting place?
Do we seek the world, or Christ Jesus’ Face?

Many people in the world today,
Say “I’m Christian”, but from Christ trun away.
Upon Christ’s Breast, they do not lay their head,
But they look, for worldly comfort instead.

Do you rest in bars, with booze flowing free?
Or do you prefer drugs and sex orgies?
Do you ever seek, the true Resting Place?
Have you considered, God’s amazing grace?

“I’m a Christian” . . . words many folk say,
But they walk the broad path, go their own way.
They ne’er consider, God’s awesome belssings,
He offers a Resting Place, a wondrous thing.

The world offers insufficient rest,
Far from superior, far from the best.
The only Resting Place, is Christ so true,
His open Arms are reaching out to you.
