POEMS ABOUT

GUIDANCE, DIRECTION

A HARD LIFE

Living for Christ is not easy to do,
When you walk close to Him, folks watch you!
Ready to jump on you if you slip,
At times you feel like deserting the ship!

With love like our God; we are to love,
‘Tis hard in this world of push and shove.
Repaying good, for evil folks do,
I surely need Him, to see me thru’.

Curse not, but bless; love your enemy,
Only with Christ can we have victory.
Our brother we are to truly forgive,
If we want forgiveness, as we live.

Lord Jesus, we can’t do it alone,
We would fail completely, on our own.
Please Lord Jesus, stay close by our side,
Love and forgive, and be there to guide.

Scripture verses for above poem:
(Jn.15:18; Phil.4:13,19;
Mt.10:22; 5:21-22,27-28,31-35,38-39,43;44; 6:14-15)

ARE YOU BEAUTIFUL?

As a jewel of gold in a pig’s snout,
‘Tis beauty, less discretion, round about.
Favor is deceitful; beauty vain,
But those who fear God, have much to gain.

Outward beauty is a fading flower,
Here today, gone with tomorrow’s hour.
God does hate your vanity and pride,
I do suggest you set them aside.

God desires from you, beauty down deep,
He just wants you to be one of His sheep.
With ‘life’ He will beautify the meek,
ETERNAL LIFE; if only Him you’ll seek.

From us, God wants spiritual beauty,
Beauty of the heart, for eternity.
A meek, quiet spirit, one which loves,
Is of great price to God, who lives above.

The Lord takes pleasure in all His own,
If you are His, your path will be shown.
Worry only of your beauty within,
Live life for Jesus, away from sin.

COME UNTO ME

Come unto Me” with your heavy load,
From Jesus, these tender words flowed.
Does sin’s burden weigh heavy on you?
Turn to Christ, for forgiveness so true.

Come unto Me”; He never seems to tire,
So patient, yet, persistent desire.
Softly and tenderly Christ does call,
He calls ‘whosoever’, one and all.

Come unto Me” He urges gently,
Only He gives complete victory.
There’s urgency in His invitation,
Please don’t reject God’s very own Son.

Come unto Me” He cries, O, so meek,
For He came, all the lost ones to seek.
Jesus came, eternal life to give,
That we might in Heav’n, eternally live.

Come unto Me” whosoever you are,
Red, yellow, black, white; from near and far.
The young and the old, the rich and poor,
Only Christ, your destiny can ensure.

Scripture verses for above poem:
(Mt.11:28-30; 2 Co.6:2; Ro.10:9;Lu.19:10; Jn.3:15-18,36)

COME UNTO ME

Our Saviour cries out, “Come unto Me,”
He will ease you burdens willingly.
His yoke is easy, His burden light,
Christ is ready to help in your plight.

Come unto Me,” He tenderly calls,
He can ease the burdens of one and all.
He’ll lift your heavy load, off of you,
You can be one of His chosen few.

When His yoke, you willingly accept,
He makes you God’s child, and He’ll protect.
No matter your load, He’s there to aid,
Thru’ calm or storm, you need not be afraid.

When you take Jesus’ yoke upon you,
It means you commit, to One who is true.
Your commitment must be a life long one,
You must stand firm, by God’s only Son.

When we join together with the Lord,
Wondrous praises from our soul is heard.
For now, Christ is there in time of need,
He lifts our load, when to Him we plead.

So softly He cries, “Come unto Me,”
“Bring me all your pain and misery.
My yoke is easy, my burden light,
I will assist you, no matter your plight.”

It’s senseless to bear your burden alone,
It’s foolish to suffer on your own.
Accept His offer to “Come unto Me,”
He’ll give peace and rest thru’ eternity.

GENTLY HE SPEAKS

Come unto Me” Jesus gently cries,
But most folk today dare to defy.
Our loving Lord wants just the best for you,
Yet those who turn to Him are but a ‘few’.

Take my yoke” Jesus tenderly states,
Always there to help, He’s compassionate.
His yoke is easy, His burden light,
And He’ll never leave you, day or night.

Learn of Me” Jesus patiently pleads,
But most turn away; to Him won’t heed.
He is so meek and lowly in heart,
He just wants our love; we should not depart.

Ye shall find rest for your souls” He says,
This ‘rest’ He can give, all of your days.
His ‘rest’ is certain, and satisfies,
Turn to Him now, don’t reject or deny.

HE BLESSES US DAILY

Sufficient to His children is God’s grace,
No matter what our trouble, or the place.
His pow’r and His wisdom will see us thru’,
He blesses us daily, both me and you.

Abundant is God’s grace to one and all,
A never ending supply, when we call.
His love for His children will never cease,
He blesses us daily, with inward peace.

Merciful is God’s grace to those who obey,
Tho’ we stumble many times in our day.
He cares for us even tho’ we are weak,
He blesses us daily, if Him we seek.

God’s children receive grace compassionate,
From their Father in Heav’n, awesome and great.
Our troubles and sorrows are felt by Him,
He blesses us daily, makes bad things dim.

God’s grace is absolutely amazing,
Plus the fact, it is absolutely free.
Our Father truly shows us such great love,
He blesses us daily, from Heav’n above.

HELP ME --- SHOW ME

Free my mind of all confusion and pain,
Don’t let me murmur, find fault or complain.
Let your Spirit help me do your sweet will,
And please help me Lord, to learn to be still.

Show me Lord, where you are leading today,
Let your Spirit guide each step of the way.
There may be some storms, dark and overcast,
But if you will help me, they’ll soon be past.

Please do not let me doubt; keep my faith strong,
Let me keep trusting you when things go wrong.
Lord, increase my faith, O’ that wondrous shield,
That Satan’s darts I’ll be able to wield.

I ask not for riches, nor worldly fame,
I ask just for strength to lift up thy Name.
And show to others, that I really care,
To help with their needs, or burdens to bear.

Let me be like Jesus, my wondrous Lord,
Help me to obey, in willing accord.
Help me to be, all you want me to be,
Lord, let others see Jesus in me.

1 Co.2:13; Mt.6:19-21; Jn.6:63; 14:15,23,26; Jer.29:13)

HE’S THERE FOR YOU

Did you e’er have all things, seem to go wrong?
And your strength was gone, you felt weak, not strong?
Did you ask for help, or go it alone?
He’s there for you, why do it on your own?

Does the road you’re trudging, seem all uphill?
Are your tired legs weak, with no pow’r to fill?
Did you take it to Christ, ask Him for aid?
He’s there for you, when you can’t make the grade.

Has funds been low, but bills keep piling high?
There’s no peace within, all you do is cry?
Have you thought, maybe Christ could assist?
He’s there for you, you should cease to resist.

Have daily cares and worries, pressed you down?
Do you rarely smile, but just wear a frown?
Jesus could make things easier for you,
He’s there for you, and He will see you thru’.

A dark cloud could have, a silver lining,
Ev’n worst troubles, could end with a blessing.
Many great Promises, to us He makes,
He’s there for you, He will never forsake.

Christ won’t make all your troubles go away,
But He’ll walk with you, each step of the way.
His yoke is easy, and His burden light,
He’s there for you, no matter your plight.

HIS GUIDING LIGHT

He’s always there, when you ask for aid,
In pain and sorrow, and when you’re afraid.
He can help make your dark days seem bright,
My friend, just walk in His Guiding Light.

His Guiding Light can shine on your darkest day,
As He lovingly shows you, the right way.
As a Shepherd, keeping watch on His sheep,
In His loving Arms, He will tenderly keep.

From high above, He watches His own,
With Him as your Friend, you’re never alone.
Our Lord is only a short prayer away,
And His Guiding Light, He’ll gladly display.

His Guiding Light, can vast comfort bring,
His peace, power and joy, are great blessings.
With His awesome Presence, ever so near,
There isn’t anything we should fear.

Pitfalls and traps, can’t be seen at night,
But all is so clear, in His Guiding Light.
But should you stumble, or even fall,
He’ll reach out His Hand to you, when you call.

HOLD ON TIGHT

When you turn to Christ to save your soul,
Submit completely; give Him control!
The road of life is bumpy, hold on tight,
You cannot survive, with your own might!

Hold on tight to Jesus, with a firm hold,
For He’s leading to the City of Gold!
Tho’ trials and sorrows do surround,
The blessing of His grace, does abound!

Grab hold and hold on tight, to our Lord,
Only Jesus can keep sin’s door barred.
Troubles arise like a violent sea,
Just Christ can stabilize you and me.

Satan will lure with temptations great,
His pow’r we must not underestimate!
Firmly grip Jesus, and hold on tight,
Don’t turn loose, or you’ve lost the fight!

Hold on tight to Christ, our precious Lord,
Grasping His goodness, all else discard.
Don’t be shaken loose by anything,
The tighter the grip, the greater the blessing!

Hold on tight to Christ; clutch securely,
For just He can give life eternally.
Let nothing, from Him, pull you away,
For we must think beyond, this present day.

I DON’T WANNA

I don’t wanna go if You’re not there,
For no one with You, can e’er compare.
No one could e’er take Your place with me,
You give absolute serenity.

I don’t wanna go on life’s road alone,
I want Light from You so the path is shown
I want Your Presence, ever so near,
For You cast away, all of my fear.

I don’t wanna go, if You won’t go,
I need You Lord, in joy and sorrow.
You always comfort and encourage me,
And You keep far away, my enemy.

I don’t wanna make choices without You,
Decisions with Your help, are right and true.
Without Your assistance, I’d go wrong,
I need Your loving pow’r, e’er so strong.

I don’t wanna be any place You are not,
For each day Your strength is eagerly sought.
You are the Vine, I’m just a branch holding tight,
Your love and pow’r sees me thru’ all my plights.

I don’t wanna think of life without You,
Dear Lord, what could I possibly do?
I want to be with You, for all eternity,
For life without You would be agony.

I RUN TO YOU

Dear Lord, I run to You for safety,
And You protect me, for You have mercy
You are there for me, You are my shield,
You are my Lord, and to You I yield.

Lord, I run to You to receive pow’r,
You are my strength for any hour.
When I feel weak, You are there for me,
You are my Lord, for eternity.

Lord, I run to You, when I need rest,
You are always there, to give Your best.
The peace I receive from You abounds,
You are my Lord and rest is always found.

Lord, I run to You each time I fear,
And ev’ry time, soothing words I hear.
From Your Presence, comfort I receive,
You are my Lord, and I will not grieve.

Our dear loving Lord is near to you,
He can be there in all that you do.
He can make your future e’er so bright,
If you will just walk in His glorious Light.

You too, can run to this wondrous Friend,
And His loving support will never end.
He too can be your dear Lord always,
Just open to Him, your heart’s door this day.

I SEEK YOU

For wondrous hope Lord, I seek Your love,
For You promis’d, a mansion above.
A grand inheritance, reserv’d for me,
That won’t fade away, thru’ eternity.

For true contentment, I seek Your peace,
Not like the world’s peace, Yours shall ne’er cease.
Deep down inside, no one can understand,
This feeling can come, only from Your Hand.

When sins are a load, I seek Your mercy,
You pull me from the sea, of iniquity.
Forgiveness is mine, when I go in pray’r,
Each time I seek You Lord, You prove You care.

When life’s burdens, seem to have no end,
It’s then that I seek You, as my Friend.
Always sufficient, is Your amazing grace,
You are always there, as I run my race.

When joy eludes, it is You that I seek,
You always strengthen me, when I am weak.
You cast away all my doubt and worry,
Confirming that I have, life eternally.

It is You that I seek, when my faith is low,
Faith increases, a blessing You bestow.
Mountains and valleys, You help me thru’,
What an asset it is, to have You.

I seek Your light, as life’s path I walk,
Especially when the old devil stalks.
I thank You Lord, for all You do for me,
And I thank You for life eternally.

IT MATTERS NOT

As I walk with my Lord, Hand in hand,
I’ll follow Him and obey His command.
It matters not, just where He shall lead,
I’ll walk in faith, to Him I’ll heed.

Life’s narrow road, does get rough and steep,
If we walk in His Light, He will keep.
It matters not, the road blocks ahead,
As I walk in His Light, I’ll have no dread.

As I walk with my Lord, each new day,
I’ll walk in His footsteps, all the way.
It matters not to me, where we go,
My faith will lead me, as I follow.

At times I feel that I can’t go on,
But surging strength comes from God’s own Son.
It matters not, that I’m worn and weary,
Faith in Jesus, gives me victory.

As I walk with my Lord, I’m ne’er sad,
Great joy is within, that makes me glad.
It matters not, what others might say,
I’ll continue in faith, on Heav’n’s way.

IT’S USELESS

It’s useless to go to God in prayer,
If you don’t confess your sins while there.
Repent and confess; His favor you’ll win,
God cannot stand to look on any sin!

It’s useless to go to God for guidance,
If you won’t listen, and keep your same stance.
When you ask Him to guide your path each day,
Take heed to the voice on your heart He lays.

It’s useless to ask Him to forgive sin,
If forgiveness of others you can’t win.
If you can’t forgive; God won’t forgive you,
So hard to achieve; but this we must do!

It’s useless to say we love when we hate,
God does know, and we won’t pass thru’ the gate.
Love must first be found deep down inside,
Love must abound; or He won’t abide!

It’s useless to ask, if you have any doubt,
For it won’t be giv’n, you’ll do without!
We must have faith, if we want to receive,
Faith pleases God, He loves when we believe.

It’s useless to go to God in prayer,
If you don’t know Jesus, if you don’t care.
We must worship and love Almighty God,
Or He’ll turn His back the wide world abroad.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON CHRIST

If your eyes are on our precious Lord,
Things go better when you have discord.
Keep your eyes on Christ; He’ll see you thru’
With His grace and mercy, O so true.

If your eyes are on heav’ly treasure,
You won’t lust after worldly pleasure.
Things of this world will look so dim,
If your eyes are on the brightness of Him.

If your eyes are on God’s will alone,
All the right roads to you will be shown.
Keep your eyes on Christ, He’ll guide you right,
Paths that He shows are drenched with light.

If your eyes are on God’s beloved Son,
He’ll give you pow’r to resist temptation.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, all the way,

If your eyes are on wondrous Saviour,
Forgiveness of all your sins is sure.
Keep your eyes on Christ, He’ll justify,
But His precious Blood you must not deny!

If your eyes are on our God of Heav’n,
Eternal life to you, by Him, is giv’n.
Keep your eyes on Christ, He’ll prepare you a place,
And some day you’ll meet Him, face to Face!

LORD, HELP ME

Lord, help me to live each and ev’ry day,
In a mild, gentle and compassionate way.
Let me think of the lost souls’ destiny,
When I kneel to pray, in humility.

Lord, help me in all the work that I do,
In sincerity and truth, let me serve You.
Let me consider my sisters and brothers,
When I approach You, let me think of others.

Lord, help my prideful self be crucified,
Let me repent of sins I’ve ever denied.
Let my thoughts, words and deeds always please You,
As I reflect on others, each day anew.

Lord, when my work on Earth comes to an end,
When to my Rest in Heav’n, I will ascend,
Let me cast any crowns I may have won,
At the precious Feet of Your Beloved Son.

NEVER LOOK BACK

Never look back, but only ahead,
Re-living the past, only brings dread!
Mistakes we made, be they large or small,
We should be wise, and learn from them all!

Never look back, this is a new day,
Forget the mistakes you made on the way.
Don’t dwell on things you cannot change,
But when you blunder, don’t think it strange.

Never look back, on bad things you did,
For all our evils in Christ are hid!
Accepting Jesus makes you all new,
You’re in a great group; one of the “few.”

Never look back, it will just depress,
Only Jesus will bring you success!
Keep your eyes on Jesus, each new day,
He’ll lead on the right road, not let you stray!

Looking back brings bitter memories,
Look instead to peace and serenity!
Just Jesus can give ‘good’ things in life,
And remove the ‘bad’ things that cause strife.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, look His way,
Let Him lead and guide you each new day!
Always look forward, never look back,
Trust Jesus to keep you on the right track!

NO CLOSED DOORS

There’s no closed door to God’s wondrous love,
It’s never ending and true, from above!
That love is there, for you and for me,
God gives thru’ Jesus, so abundantly!

There’s no lock on the door to God’s grace,
It’s always open, our sins to erase!
It’s available, to all who believe,
When God’s precious Son they do receive!

The door’s always open, to God’s mercy,
For our precious Saviour holds the ‘key.’
Only Christ can open that door so wide,
That we can access God’s mercy inside!

There’s no closed door to God’s wondrous Throne,
But we must access thru’ Jesus alone!
We can go to the Father, day or night,
And ask in pray’r that He aid in our plight.

The door to forgiveness is always open,
God forgives thru’ Christ, again and again!
We can go to God when we transgress,
Forgiveness is ours, as He does bless.

Christ Jesus has control of ev’ry door,
All are open to what God has in store.
But we must always trust and abide,
To receive the blessings God holds inside!

We as God’s children have so much to gain,
Awesome blessings thru’ Christ we can attain.
Jesus opens all the doors to God so wide,
And gives to us eternal life besides!

ONE STEP AT A TIME

He leads me gently, one step at a time,
‘Tis a blessing no one can undermine.
He’s there to guide as my path unfolds,
If I should stumble, my hand He will hold.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring,
But if He is with me, nothing can sting.
Only God knows the end of all to come,
Walk close to Him, do not from Him roam.

We need not fret ‘bout the troubles of life,
Trust in His goodness, you’ll have less strife.
His grace is sufficient for me and you,
Believe and accept, it’s not much to do.

One step at a time, as each day unfurls,
Gently He leads, without any quarrel.
We are to walk by faith and not by sight,
Trust in God, for He knows our ev’ry plight.

THERE TO GUIDE

He leads me to green pastures and cool still waters,
Guiding me truly, so nothing else matters.
He has promised to supply our every need,
What more can we ask of Him? we ought to take heed.

To the meek He has promised to teach us His way,
Always there to guide us, during the night or day.
For He is our God, for today and forever,
With us unto death, allowing nothing to sever.

He is there to guide us with His counsel so great,
If we would but listen to Him, we could walk straight.
Most follow Satan, on the crooked path of sin,
Even many Christians, to temptations give in.

So what is the answer, as we go thru’ the day?
This I can tell you, from old Satan keep away!
Turn your eyes upon the One who really is true,
He’s always there to guide you, whatever you do!

Listen closely for that still, small voice of the Lord,
His Spirit within you, really wants to be heard!
Don’t be too busy or indifferent this day,
For He is there to guide you, each step of the way!

THY WILL BE DONE

Do you truly know, that God does care?
When you go to the Father in pray’r?
Can you pray in faith? “Thy will be done?”
Or do you doubt, ev'n 'fore you’ve begun?

Thy will be done, Lord,” is what we should ask,
No matter the problem, or the task!
If we allow God, to make the choice,
He’ll give us His best, then we can rejoice!

Do you have faith, to let God decide?
In all the trials of life that betide?
Can you truly state: “Thy will be done, Lord?”
Most cannot! for this to them is hard!

Thy will be done,” can you honestly say?
We must do this, if we are to obey!
You simply must trust God, and believe!
Or His blessings, you will not receive!

Can you place your whole life, in God’s Hands?
Can you pray: “Thy will be done” and firmly stand?
Into your heart, mind and soul; let God fill,
With all His goodness, from His grand will!

THY WILL BE DONE

Dear Lord, let me to Your will submit,
Let me not ever, quench Your Spirit.
Let me with all my heart, Your will seek,
Let Pride flee from me, let me be meek.

As I seek Your will, keep my faith strong,
Let me not ever doubt, for that is wrong.
Let my faith not waver, let me believe,
That guidance from You, I shall receive.

Thy will be done Lord, not ever mine,
Any glory there is, let it be Thine.
Let me allow You, to lead me each day,
As You shed Your great Light, on my way.

When I come to a mountain, ever so steep,
I know in my heart, my steps You will keep.
I must trust You Lord, but I must obey,
If I expect help, from You each new day.

Let me trust You always, let me not fear,
Let me feel Thy Presence, ever so near.
Let me seek Your will, in all that I do,
For to You dear Lord, I want to stay true.

Your wisdom Lord, not mine, will I trust,
Your will in my life, is simply a must.
My wisdom is ever so foolish to You,
I want Your will Lord, in all that I do.

THY WILL BE DONE

Thy will be done Lord, Thine and Thine alone,
I humbly ask, that today’s paths be shown.
Pride and worldly wisdom Lord, I do fear,
I pray Your loving presence, always be near.

Thy will be done Lord, always in all things,
This to me Lord, is an amazing blessing.
Don’t let me hurry, and do things ‘my’ way,
For I will truly regret it, some future day.

Thy will be done Lord, always in my life,
When my will takes hold, it always brings strife.
Lord, let me always let Your Spirit guide,
And let Your perfect will always be applied.

Thy will be done Lord, let me put my trust in Thee,
Write Your law on my heart, for eternity.
Humbly I ask, please teach me to do thy will,
And each day of my life, with Your Spirit fill.

Thy will be done Lord, for I’m one of the “few,”
Let my thoughts, words and deeds be pleasing to You.
Let me always imitate, Jesus my Lord,
Let me always live, by Your Holy, pure Word.

THY WILL BE DONE, LORD

Thy will be done O Lord, never mine,
For I want Your Light, always to shine.
Things done my way, brings trouble to me,
For I will have nothing, but misery.

Thy will be done O Lord, ev’ry day,
I ask Your guidance, in all my ways.
I must keep that narrow road in my sight,
Let me always walk, in Your glorious Light.

Thy will be done O Lord, this I ask,
For I want Your wisdom, in all my tasks.
Guide me with Your counsel so wise,
Don’t let me e’er Your wisdom despise.

Gracious Lord I pray, Thy will be done,
Let me walk willingly, with Your Son.
Tho’ the road may get rocky and steep,
I know my Saviour, will safely keep.

Thy will be done, let me shatter my pride,
I must be meek, if You are to abide.
Let me cast my pride, far, far away,
For just meek ones, will You lift up one day.

Thy will be done, let me never fear,
For You promise, to always be near.
All my fear, perfect love casts out,
When I trust You, gone is my doubt.

Thy will be done Lord, let it prevail,
I must glorify You, I must not fail.
To ask for Thy will, I’m not afraid.
For when trouble comes, You’re there to aid.

THY WILL, LORD

Thy will, Lord, not mine; tho’ dark it be,
For You shall lead, and light the path for me.
Tho’ rough and steep the path, I know ‘tis best,
For Heav'n awaits, when I top the crest!

Thy will, Lord; I would not choose, if I might,
For your way is better, and always right!
Tho’ I seek Heav’n, I ask You show the way,
For the choice I make, might lead my soul astray!

Thy will, Lord; my days with joy or sorrow fill,
For You shall always, your best to me instill!
Tho’ I may desire, just good, nice things,
I’ll trust your judgment, in what life brings!

Thy will, Lord, not mine, in sickness and health,
For You rightly lead, in poverty and wealth!
Tho’ in great or small things I choose,
I could be wrong; but with You, I’ll not lose!

Thy will, Lord, not mine; always let me trust,
For to win your favor, faith is a must!
The path may be dark now, but the end bright,
For your will Lord, leads to Heav’n’s light!

WHERE ARE WE?

On His Shoulder, you’d be if you got lost,
Jesus would find you, no matter the cost.
He’d search the wilderness, ‘til He found you,
Our Great Shepherd, is faithful and true.

In His Great Hand, we are safe and secure,
We’ll never perish, but always endure.
Eternal life, to us He has giv’n,
He’s promis’d to us, a mansion in Heav’n.

At His precious Feet, let us choose the good part,
Let’s listen and learn, and never depart.
His Words will always, make a better day,
Lighting our path and showing us the way.

On His loving Bosom, leaning so near,
Fellowship with Him, removes our fear.
Jesus loves us, let us with Him abide,
And one wondrous day, in Heav’n we’ll reside.

WHO??

Who helps me, in my time of need?
‘Tis Jesus my Lord, on whom I feed.
He’s always there, no matter the hour,
Giving me strength, from His mighty pow’r.

Who comforts me, when I’m in pain?
‘Tis Jesus who relieves, my stress and strain.
No matter what, He’s always near,
Pouring out His love, to calm my fear.

Who is it that encourages me?
‘Tis Jesus who gives me, victory.
His awesome love, deep down I feel,
Bless me Lord Jesus, as I humbly kneel.

Who is it who shows me such great love?
‘Tis Jesus, from His glory above.
No one can e’er love me, more than He,
Such grand love He shows, abundantly.

Who is it who won’t leave or forsake?
‘Tis Jesus, who keeps all Promises He makes.
I don’t have to worry, He’s always close by,

A mansion awaits me, way up high,
For His righteousness, made me qualify.

WITHOUT YOU

Without You, I can do nothing at all,
I stumble around, and completely fall.
So many obstacles get in my way,
I need Your wisdom, to show the right way.

Without You Lord Jesus, it’s dark as night,
I can’t ev’n o’ertake my smallest plight.
I know You must think, I should soon learn,
Yet Your blessed knowledge, I seem to spurn.

Without You Lord, my nourishment is gone,
I am as a dead branch, I’m the devil’s pawn.
There’s no strength to get me thru’ ev’n one hour,
Temptations o’ercome me, without Your pow’r.

Without You, I build on stubble and straw,
My house will fall, for it’s feeble and flaw’d.
My works will burn, if I don’t build on You,
I need You Lord, to show me what to do.

As the years pass by, I learn more and more,
Without You I’ll never see, Heaven’s shore.
Without You Lord, I have no righteousness,
For only WITH You, will the Father bless.

Without You I’ll never be justified,
By God the Father, I will be denied.
Without You forgiv’n, my sins would ne’er be,
And I’d be in Hell for eternity.

Without You, I’d be doom’d, which e’er way I’d go,
I would have agony, and great sorrow.
I’m glad I chose to live, my life WITH You,
I praise You Lord, that I’m one of the “few.”
