ABOUT PRAYER
HELP
ME --- SHOW ME
Free my mind of all confusion
and pain,
Don’t let me murmur, find fault or complain.
Let your Spirit help me do your sweet will,
And please help me Lord, to learn to be still.
Show me Lord,
where you are leading today,
Let your Spirit guide each step of the way.
There may be some storms, dark and overcast,
But if you will help me, they’ll soon
be past.
Please do not
let me doubt; keep my faith strong,
Let me keep trusting you when things go wrong.
Lord, increase my faith, O’ that wondrous
shield,
That Satan’s darts I’ll be able
to wield.
I ask not for
riches, nor worldly fame,
I ask just for strength to lift up thy Name.
And show to others, that I really care,
To help with their needs, or burdens to bear.
Let me be like
Jesus, my wondrous Lord,
Help me to obey, in willing accord.
Help me to be, all you want me to be,
Lord, let others see Jesus in me.

Scripture
verses for above poem:
(1 Jn.2:15,27; 3:22,24; 4:20; Eze.36:27; Ro.8:16;
Lu.12:12;
1 Co.2:13; Mt.6:19-21; Jn.6:63; 14:15,23,26;
Jer.29:13)
IT’S
USELESS
It’s
useless to go to God in prayer,
If you don’t confess your sins while
there.
Repent and confess; His favor you’ll
win,
God cannot stand to look on any sin!
It’s
useless to go to God for guidance,
If you won’t listen, and keep your same
stance.
When you ask Him to guide your path each day,
Take heed to the voice on your heart He lays.
It’s
useless to ask Him to forgive sin,
If forgiveness of others you can’t win.
If you can’t forgive; God won’t
forgive you,
So hard to achieve; but this we must do!
It’s
useless to say we love when we hate,
God does know, and we won’t pass thru’
the gate.
Love must first be found deep down inside,
Love must abound; or He won’t abide!
It’s
useless to ask, if you have any doubt,
For it won’t be giv’n, you’ll
do without!
We must have faith, if we want to receive,
Faith pleases God, He loves when we believe.
It’s
useless to go to God in prayer,
If you don’t know Jesus, if you don’t
care.
We must worship and love Almighty God,
Or He’ll turn His back the wide world
abroad.

HELP
ME
Help me to
be who You want me to be,
Let others see Jesus living in me.
Lord give me meekness, take all pride away,
Help me to live better, day after day.
Help me precious
Lord, show me what to do,
I want to live a life that pleases You.
Lord give me guidance to take the right road,
Help me to carry those burdensome loads.
Help me dear
Lord, to comfort those who grieve,
Help me teach them, that to You they should
cleave.
Let me be willing, Your lost sheep to find,
Help me to always be loving and kind.
Give me strength
dear Jesus, with each new day,
For burdens encumber along the way.
Help me resist Satan, as he does afflict,
With many troubles and constant conflict.
Lord, give
me wisdom to know wrong from right,
For Satan’s disguise is an angel of
light!
Let my deeds and words, be pleasing to You.
Help me Lord, as I start each day anew.
Lord, let me
feel your Presence, e’er so near,
For You cast off my worries, and my fears.
I love knowing that You watch over me,
Now, here an earth, and for eternity.

HELP
ME TO BE
Help me to
be who You want me to be,
Let those around, see Your Son in me.
For this request Lord, I need Your aid,
Without Your help, I’ll not make the
grade.
Give me more
love with each passing day,
That the love of Christ, I can display.
With hatred and malice running wild,
Let those around me, know I’m Your child.
Patience is
something, I truly need,
‘Imitate Jesus’ should be my creed.
With flaring tempers all around me,
Dear Lord, help me do things patiently.
Give me a spirit
of gentleness,
That souls of lost ones I might caress.
With evil and violence all around,
Let calm and goodness in me be found.
I’m far
from being what I should be,
Lord, I truly need for You to help me.
Please Lord, be with me in ev’ry task,
In this, my pray’r, I humbly do ask.
In You is strength,
for You are the Vine,
Let Your will be done, and mine decline.
Without You Lord, I’m nothing at all,
But with Your pow’r and wisdom, I stand
tall.
I know I have
a long way to go,
Help me be willing, as Your way You show.
Help me to be who You want me to be,
Let those around, see Your Son in me.

A
HARD LIFE
Living for
Christ is not easy to do,
When you walk close to Him, folks watch you!
Ready to jump on you if you slip,
At times you feel like deserting the ship!
With love like
our God; we are to love,
‘Tis hard in this world of push and
shove.
Repaying good, for evil folks do,
I surely need Him, to see me thru’.
Curse not,
but bless; love your enemy,
Only with Christ can we have victory.
Our brother we are to truly forgive,
If we want forgiveness, as we live.
Lord Jesus,
we can’t do it alone,
We would fail completely, on our own.
Please Lord Jesus, stay close by our side,
Love and forgive, and be there to guide.

GOD
WILL NOT HEAR
From evil,
God will surely hide His Face,
Sin of all kind, to Him is disgrace.
Don’t turn from Him, to some other ‘gods’,
He alone is ‘GOD’ , all others
are frauds!
Did you ever
wonder, why He won’t hear?
His ‘Book’ will tell you, ‘tis
very clear!
“God heareth not sinners,” true
and plain,
You MUST be His child, and from sin refrain.
The thoughts
of the wicked, God hates,
But, if you repent; He’s compassionate!
From the wicked, God is very far,
But, He hears the righteous, where e’er
they are!
SIN separates
the holy God from you,
All those sins you’ve done, your whole
life thru’.
He simply will not hear, when you pray,
He’ll hide His Face; not hear a word
you say!
IF sin is between
you and the Lord,
He just won’t hear you; believe His
Word!
You can call upon Him; He won’t hear!
He won’t answer; He’ll turn a
deaf ear!
“God
heareth not sinners,” plain and true,
Just those who worship Him; so very few!
IF you want God to hear and abide,
Love, believe, repent; you can then confide!

A
PRIVILEGE
A wondrous
privilege, is that of prayer,
For Almighty God, truly does care!
God wants His children, in Him to abide,
Communication lines, are open wide!
Prayer can
bring us instant relief,
For God can remove our sorrow and grief!
Prayer can remove our anxiety,
From all our worries, we can be free!
When we ‘talk’
to God, fear goes away,
Be it the night, morning, or mid-day!
To go to God in daily prayers,
Will help greatly, to dissolve your cares!
We can access
God, in the night so still,
Great comfort from Him, your heart will fill!
We can go to Him in broad daylight,
Just He can chase away ling’ring fright!
When problems
come up, I can’t solve alone,
Prayer helps the answer be clearly shown!
When I feel lost, and helpless and weak,
It’s a privilege, that to God I can
speak!
When all my
strength seems to dissipate,
He gives me pow’r, I can’t duplicate!
When all that I do just seems to fail,
His love and wisdom always prevails!
If you face
a day that seems hopeless,
Go to God in prayer, and He will bless!
Don’t go it alone, or you will fall,
Use the privilege of prayer; on God call!
