POEMS
ABOUT WEALTH
PRECIOUS
THOUGHTS
Such precious
thoughts in my mind so clear,
Thoughts of my Saviour, Jesus, so dear.
He left the peace and beauty of Heav’n,
Came to Earth, as Man; His life He hath giv’n.
Precious thoughts
of His abiding love,
Giv’n to us by the Father above.
Pure, true love as this, is not known to man,
Redeeming our souls, ‘twas all God’s
Plan.
Precious thoughts
each day as He watches me,
I praise Him, that from sin, He’s set
me free.
He lightens my path, as onward I go,
My Saviour loves me; this I know!
Such precious
thoughts always give me chills,
‘Tis hard in His presence, to be still.
Knowing He is near, great comfort gives,
Greater comfort still; I know He lives!
Precious thoughts
multiply, day after day,
He draws me closer in His loving way.
How I do adore and love my Lord,
And I know my prayers are always heard.
These precious
thoughts of Christ linger on,
My very heart and soul He has won.
I’m so grateful for the life He gives,
Eternal life in Heav’n, where He lives!

THE
PEACE OF GOD
The peace of
God is a wondrous thing,
Those who have it want to shout and sing!
The Lord will bless His people with peace,
A wonderful gift, that will increase.
Great peace
have all those who love God’s Word,
‘Tis giv’n abundantly by the Lord.
In perfect peace, our great God will keep,
In light of day, or night when you sleep.
As a gentle
river, is God’s peace,
Your strain and worry, does find release.
This peace, just the righteous can obtain.
God graciously gives, to relieve life’s
pain.
Peace: is a
legacy from our Lord,
It plainly tells us in God’s holy Word.
We need not be troubled, nor have fear,
For the Spirit of Christ, is always near.
The peace of
God, I cannot explain,
I know, just thru’ Christ, can you obtain.
Only God’s children can possess this
peace,
Just God can grant abundant increase!

SEARCH
FOR HAPPINESS
Can wealth
make you happy, as you live?
Can it buy friends? or good health give?
Can it bring happiness to your life?
Can servants or pleasure keep you from strife?
Can education
make you happy?
Learning worldly things, can’t give
ecstasy.
Tho’ much knowledge you have acquired,
Happiness seems to be your greatest desire.
Can liquor
bring you satisfaction?
In the end, it will bring degradation.
Drugs of NO kind can bring happiness,
Only your problems it does suppress.
Can lust and
sex fill the void in your heart?
Will that emptiness, from you depart?
Can it give happiness and peace?
Will the unhappiness you feel, cease?
Only Christ
can give TRUE happiness,
Life without Him, is just weariness.
Disappointment will flee with Christ there,
For He, your troubles, with you will share.
Sweet peace
overflows when Christ abides,
He’s always there, to comfort and guide,
To seek happiness without Him is vain,
Only He can give peace that remains.
The presence
of Christ is pleasure and joy,
Happiness that NO one can destroy.
Give your heart to our Saviour today,
Trust and accept Him; there’s NO other
way!

WORLDLY
RICHES
Worldly riches,
to most are precious,
Satan tempts with what is spurious.
Silver and gold, and possessions galore,
Folks gather together, and adore.
Heaping riches
as dust of the Earth,
Will profit nothing, be of no worth.
We brought nary a thing, when we came,
And when we leave, it shall be the same.
Riches make
you forget the Lord God,
You worship them, not Him, as you trod.
Hardly any rich, shall enter Heav’n,
Instead, the gates of Hell will be giv’n.
In Heav’n,
is where your treasures should be,
Not here on this Earth, for all to see.
For where your treasure is, your heart is
too,
Heav’n will be granted, to just a few.
What maketh
rich? blessings of the Lord,
He will add no sorrow, nor discord.
No greater wealth than Christ, can be found,
Wondrous riches, in Him, do abound!

QUALITY
TIME
Time spent
with Jesus, just you and He,
This time is precious, it’s quality.
You’ll never regret, not one moment,
Any time with our Lord that you’ve spent.
‘Tis
such a blessing, to spend some time,
With our Saviour, and His love so fine.
Time spent with Jesus, is of great price,
All other hours, cannot suffice.
Time spent
with Jesus, is time so dear,
It is wonderful, to have Him near.
All my doubts and fears, fly far away,
He gives joy and peace, for e’er to
stay.
A remarkable
Friend, He is to me,
Time spent with Him, is pure quality.
His counsel to me has great value,
With untold wisdom, and always true.
‘Tis
quality time, spent with my Lord,
Walking with Him, and reading His Word.
The most desirable part of the day,
Choice, select, and outstanding, alway.
O what a blessing
I do receive,
Such a blessing, I want not to leave.
Quality time, spent with my Saviour,
Nought can compare, ‘tis joy and grandeur.

MUCH
MORE PRECIOUS
Much more precious
than bright diamonds,
Is Christ’s love for us, that does abound.
Love so gracious, merciful and true,
Such precious love, we can’t misconstrue.
Much more precious
than a grand ruby,
Is Christ’s love, that brought us victory.
Sin and Satan no longer control,
For Christ our Saviour, has saved our soul.
Much more precious
than possessions galore,
Knowing one day we’ll be on Heav’n’s
shore.
To live for e’er with Jesus so dear,
With never a heartache, pain nor fear.
Much more precious
than earthly power,
Is Christ’s awesome love, that’s
there ev’ry hour.
His grace and love and mercy unending,
There for us always, strongly defending.
Much more precious
than treasures untold,
His love is more precious than fine gold.
Christ is wondrous, so true; I’m at
a loss,
He loved us so much, He died on the Cross.

OUR
EVERYTHING
Our Lord Jesus
is our everything,
And just He, eternal life can bring.
He is our love, love beyond compare,
Love that surrounds us; it’s everywhere!
Christ is our
everything, all the time,
All that He is, or does, is sublime.
Wondrous Jesus, such a trusting Friend,
There for us always, ‘til this life
ends.
The peace Jesus
gives, is everything,
The world can’t possess this peace He
brings.
A wondrous feeling, down in your heart,
No one can take it, and it won’t depart!
Christ is our
joy, for me and for you,
He’s our everything, He’s tried
and true.
Joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Here in this life, and thru’ eternity.
Do you want
eternal life in Heaven?
Christ paid everything, that it may be given.
A precious Gift, that removes death’s
sting,
Our Lord Jesus, is our everything!

WHAT’S
HIS WORTH?
Love, kindness,
and generosity,
All these blessings He gives freely.
Forgiveness from all our wicked sins,
Full atonement from Him we do win!
Goodness, great
patience, and gentleness,
He’s just, and pure; and all righteousness!
Compassion, mercy, and wondrous grace,
‘Twill not be long, and I’ll see
His Face!
He’s
promised Heaven as my goal,
I praise my Saviour; He’s in control!
Just what is the worth of Christ, my Lord?
It can’t be counted, or put in words!
