Jesus,
the ONLY Way!!!
WHY
Is Jesus Christ the Only Way to God?
Acts
4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other:
for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved. [KJV]
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I
am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me. [KJV]
Many people oppose the fact that there is “no
other Name than that of Jesus” to call
on for salvation of our soul. This is NOT something the church
decided; it is the precise teaching of Jesus Himself (John
14:6, above). God specifically specified Jesus to be the Saviour
of the world. NO one else can be His equal, NO one else can
even come close! No other religious teacher could die for
our sins; NO other religious teacher came to earth as God’s
only Son; NO other religious teacher rose from the dead. God
offered us Jesus, as the one and only Way to have an eternal
relationship with God Himself. There is no other name or way
to get to God the Father who is in Heaven!
A most common criticism of Christianity is that the way is
too narrow. But, Jesus Himself tells us that the way to Heaven
is very narrow.
Matthew
7:13-14 Enter ye
in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is
the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which
go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow
is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that
find it. [KJV] Many people don’t
want to believe that there is only one way to Heaven. They
think all other "religions" lead to Heaven. I teach
the Bible . . . and the Bible clearly states there is ONLY
ONE WAY and that WAY is Jesus! This is what I believe with
my whole heart, this is what I teach because this is what
God tells us.
Believers have been criticized for implying that they are
better than those who do not believe in Jesus Christ. But
it is SO important to note that the reason Christians believe
Jesus Christ is the “only way to Heaven” is because
Jesus Himself told us. Jesus said, “I
am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the
Father except through me” (John
14:6). IF mankind could have reached God by any other way,
Jesus would not have had to die, and He most certainly would
have told us IF there were some other way!
His
voluntary death on the cross clearly portrays the fact that
there is no other way. All those who reject His loving offer
of forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven --- which is extended
to ALL humankind --- do so at their own peril.
