WILL
CHRIST BE JUDGE?
The
soul is eternal, and shall spend eternityt
in one of two places. Heaven is for those who believe God (1 John 5:10-12)
and accept Christ to save them (John 1:12-13).
and Hell, for those who
refuse to believe God and reject His Son
(John 3:18,36). The Bible does NOT teach
‘universalism,’ meaning the belief that
all fallen sinners will be reinstated
to blessedness in Heaven. Everyone
will NOT go to Heaven!
Neither
does the Bible teach that ANYONE will
ever have a ‘second chance’ even though
this is the doctrine of some main line
denominations. NO unbeliever (unsaved
sinner) will have a second chance after they die, nor will ANY amount
of prayer, get you to Heaven after you
die. You must decide where you will spend
eternity in THIS life, for after
that, there remains only judgment.
If a person rejects Christ
while they are on Earth, they are in terrible
darkness. Light is a symbol for Jesus
and good; darkness is a symbol for sin,
Satan and evil. First, there is the darkness
of lost souls; but there is hope for this
darkness! This would be as darkness before
the sun rose. You or I could be that hope!
If they were to hear and believe the Gospel
of Christ and His Kingdom, it would be
like the sun rising in the east. They
could have light in their life. But, the
darkness that follows rejecting the Light
of Jesus is far more complicated. This
would be like someone who insisted on
living in a light-free condition. There
is very little if any, hope at all here.
Refusing to walk in the Light of Jesus
reveals just how great the rottenness
and evil is within a person. It reveals
they love the world and what it offers
more than Jesus.
Daniel Webster said: "The
most solemn thought that has ever entered
my mind is my accountability to my Maker."
What a intense truth! Any one who can
say these words cannot be bought or corrupted.
We are accountable only to the One who
gave us life. YES! We all will one day
stand before the Almighty Judge one day,
all alone! And this majestic Judge is
NOT the Christ that is being portrayed
in many pulpits throughout the world today.
Far too many preachers picture Christ
as a loving and tender Man who would not,
could not, and will not send anyone to
Hell. YES! Christ is tender and loving!
Absolutely! But --- only to those who
trust and obey Him! The Christ who will
be Judge of the world is a completely
different Man than most people realize.
God isn’t too "nice" to judge
sin (Deut. 7:2). The Christ the world
will deal with has eyes like a flame of
fire, His head and hair will be white
like wool, as snow; His feet like unto
fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace;
and His voice as the sound of many waters.
Out of His mouth will be a sharp two-edged
sword: and His countenance will be as
the sun shineth in his strength (Rev.
1:13-16). This is not what Christ is pictured
as in most churches today. This is the
Christ who will judge the world in truth
and righteousness. There will be NO error,
for Christ has all knowledge! He knows
all things!
Why
do people reject Jesus? I truly
believe that anyone who keeps rejecting
Christ, has a beloved sin deep within;
and they simply refuse to give it up.
They simply love that sin so much the
cannot give it up for any reason! And
it seems when you talk to them, they can
come up with unending reasons for forsaking
that sin, and turning to Jesus. Israel
of old rejected the Light of Jesus, and
He called them stiff-necked and hard-hearted.
The only difference between then and now,
is a different generation!
The words: "born
again" mean very little
in today’s times; yet, God does NOT change,
so the words are every bit as important
today as they were in Jesus’ time.
John 3:3 Jesus
answered and said unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man
be born again, he cannot see the kingdom
of God. [KJV] People today
toss those words around so lightly, with
their superficial smiles and attitudes.
How can a person preach the Holy Spirit
if they do not have Him abiding within?
(Rom.8:9).
The new birth is a major
miracle! It is absolutely necessary in
sinful humans. It is the miracle of God
creating a completely new person where
the old one had been! It’s a miracle in
that God places a new, soft, tender heart
where the old hard, stony one once was.
It is God doing a miracle in us by changing
our desires --- from worldly pleasures
to heavenly treasures.
John 1:12-13 But
as many as received him, to them gave
he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name: [13]
Which were born, not of blood, nor of
the will of the flesh, nor of the will
of man, but of God. [KJV] Can we,
on our own, become children of God? NO
way my friend! It must be done through
the power of Christ! So it truly is a
miracle!
What I am getting at is
this: unless a person has had that miraculous
second birth, they will stand before the
Great White Throne Judgment, before that
impressive and majestic Judge. Rev.
20:11-15 And I saw a great white
throne, and him that sat on it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away;
and there was found no place for them.
[12] And I saw the dead, small and great,
stand before God; and the books were opened:
and another book was opened, which is
the book of life: and the dead were judged
out of those things which were written
in the books, according to their works.
[13] And the sea gave up the dead which
were in it; and death and hell delivered
up the dead which were in them: and they
were judged every man according to their
works. [14] And death and hell were cast
into the lake of fire. This is the second
death. [15] And whosoever was not found
written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire. [KJV]
IF you are foolish enough
to be in this judgment, you will absolutely
be "cast into the lake of fire"
which is none other than Hell. It is NOT
too late for you to change that destination.
Just simply believe on the Lord Jesus
and be saved (Rom.10:9-13).
All believers shall also
be judged; but their destination has already
been decided.
John 3:18 He
that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned
already, because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of
God. John 3:36 He
that believeth on the Son hath everlasting
life: and he that believeth not the Son
shall not see life; but the wrath of God
abideth on him. [KJV] Our destination
is Heaven! See the Judgment
Seat of Christ as to how believers
will be judged.
