ACCESS to GOD
1. Is by Christ.
John 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I
am the door of the sheep. [KJV] Jesus’
Words. Jesus is the ‘Gate’ to God’s salvation
for us. Only He can give us access
to safety and security. Some people resent the fact that Jesus is the Gate, and the only
way of access to God. But Jesus is God’s Son — there
is no other way!
John 10:9 I
am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture. [KJV] Jesus’
Words. Christ is the Door, we must come through that Door alone
to God the Father.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I
am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me. [KJV] Jesus’ Words. This is
a basic and very important passage in Scripture. What is the way
to God? Only through Jesus! Some people say that
this Way is too narrow, but in reality, it’s wide enough for
the whole world! The problem is, the world chooses not to accept
it. Christ is the sinner’s Way to the Father (who is in Heaven).
He is the Truth, for He has fulfilled all the prophecies of the
Saviour. He is the Life, for He joins His life to ours; in this
life, and eternally.
Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by
faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the
glory of God. [KJV] We, as God’s children stand in a
place of highest privilege! God has not only declared us not guilty;
we have to joy of being His friends!
Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye
who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
[KJV] Have you ever felt alone, excluded, or hopeless? NO ONE is
exempt from Christ’s love or from the family of God. You just
need to open your heart’s door, and let Jesus in!
Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and
access with confidence by the faith of him. [KJV] Because of
Christ, we have the awesome privilege of being able to approach
God with courage, hope and no fear.
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to
save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he
ever liveth to make intercession for them. [KJV] NO ONE can
add to (in any way) what Jesus did to save us. Our past, present,
and future sins are all forgiven. Jesus being with the Father in
Heaven (Hebrews 12:2) is proof that our sins are forgiven. If you
are a Child of God, remember that Christ has paid the price for
your sins once and for all. If you are not a believer, think of
what Jesus can do for you!
Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brethren,
boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, (KJV)
We can boldly enter Heaven and God’s Holy Throne of Grace
because of the Blood of Jesus. Believing in Jesus opens way to God.
This freedom is made possible to us by the precious Blood of Jesus;
by the worthiness of that Blood which He so willingly offered up
as an atoning sacrifice. Our way to Heaven is by a crucified Saviour.
He died that we might live. To all who believe this, He is most
precious.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered
for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
[KJV] Christ is an example of patient endurance while suffering.
Our Lord had NO sin, yet His suffering was unequaled to any other
person. He suffered instead of those who had NO righteousness. The
blessed plan of our Lord’s sufferings were: # 1. to reconcile
us to God, and # 2. to bring us to eternal glory. He was put to
death in regard of His human nature, but He was raised by the power
of the Holy Spirit on the third day. If Christ was not spared from
sufferings, why should Christians think they should be?
2. Access to God is by the
Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have
access by one Spirit unto the Father. [KJV] Through the Person
and sacrifice of Christ, sinners are allowed to draw near to God
as our spiritual Father. We are accepted into His awesome Presence
with our worship, praises, prayers and services, under the supervision
of the Holy Spirit; who is one with the Father and the Son. Christ
redeemed us; but the Spirit gives us a willingness to come, and
the strength to come, and then He gives us grace to serve God in
an acceptable way.
3.
Access to God obtainable only through faith.
Acts 14:27 And when they were come, and had
gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done
with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
[KJV] All who love the Lord Jesus, greatly rejoice that He has opened
wide the door of faith; to “whosoever”
were strangers to Him and His salvation. Let us always abide with
those who know and love the Lord.
Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by
faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the
glory of God. (KJV) Because of our faith, Christ has brought
us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and
we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s
glory. We are declared “not guilty”
in the courts of Heaven because of our faith in Christ. We have
peace with God because of our faith in what Jesus can do for us.
Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and
access with confidence by the faith of him. (KJV) Because of
Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come fearlessly into God's
Presence, and be assured that He will welcome us. Praise be to our
precious Saviour! By faith we can enter directly into God’s
Presence through prayer, and we know we will be welcomed with open
arms because we are God’s children because
of Christ. Don’t
be afraid of God. Talk with Him about anything and everything. He
is waiting to hear from you. He loves you!
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
[KJV] God won’t settle for you just admitting He exists. He
wants a personal relationship with you that will change your life.
Those who seek God will find their reward; His intimate Presence. We cannot come to God, unless we
believe that He is who He says He is, and will do what He says He
will do. If we want to find God, we must seek Him with all our heart.
Psalm 145:18 The Lord is nigh unto all them
that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. [KJV]
God is present every where. In a special way He is close to all
those who call upon Him, where He is not to unbelievers. He’s
in our hearts, and dwells there by faith.
