TRINITY . . . Triune
God
The word "trinity" is not found in the Bible. But its doctrine is indeed found there,
both in the Old and New Testaments. The trinity expresses the
doctrine of the unity and harmony of God existing in three different
Persons, yet all agreeing in all things.
The Bible clearly
shows:
# 1. That God is one, and that
there is only one God. Deut. 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: [KJV]
1 Kings 8:60 That all the people of the
earth may know that the Lord is God, and that there is none else. [KJV]
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the Lord the King
of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first,
and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. [KJV]
Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The
first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our
God is one Lord: [KJV]
Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him,
Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God;
and there is none other but he: [KJV]
John 10:30 I
and my Father are one. [KJV]
# 2. That the Father is a distinct
divine Person, distinct from the Son and the Holy Spirit.
# 3. That Jesus Christ was truly
God, and yet was a Person distinct from the Father and the Holy
Spirit.
# 4. That the Holy Spirit is also
a distinct divine Person.
There are THREE divine Persons
that make up the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus),
and God the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [KJV]
John 14:26 But the Comforter,
which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you. [KJV]
1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the
foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the
Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:
Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. [KJV]

DOCTRINE OF TRINITY PROVEN BY SCRIPTURE.
Matthew 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he
was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the
heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending
like a dove, and lighting upon him: [17] And lo a voice from heaven,
saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. [KJV]

and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [KJV]

flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell
in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none
of his. [KJV]
1 Cor. 12:3-6 Wherefore I give you
to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth
Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord,
but by the Holy Ghost. [4] Now there are diversities of gifts,
but the same Spirit. [5] And there are differences of administrations,
but the same Lord. [6] And there are diversities of operations,
but it is the same God which worketh all in all. [KJV]
2 Cor. 13:14 The grace of the Lord
Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy
Ghost, be with you all. Amen. [KJV]
Ephes. 4:4-6 There is one body,
and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; [5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism, [6] One God and Father of
all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. [KJV]
1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge
of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto
obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto
you, and peace, be multiplied. [KJV]
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in
heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three
are one. [KJV]
Jude 1:20-21 But ye, beloved, building
up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
[21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. [KJV]
Rev. 1:4-5 John to the seven churches
which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which
is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits
which are before his throne; [5] And from Jesus Christ, who is
the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and
the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us,
and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [KJV]
